I just went through this. I bought the BK9 she was ok with it. Then I got ESEE 5 & 6 a couple weeks later. She was not happy.
I then bought a Junglas a week after that. I was playing with it and she didn't even notice it was new. She thought I had painted my BK9.
Then I came in and said it drew first blood on me. She started questioning my knife. I said Ive been having this one. She believed me but then I said ive been having it all day long. She was mad. I said I had to have it! Look at it I said. I had to have it. She got over it.

Let's assume for a second that I was lucky enough to have won one of the great BF give aways. First I'd have to explain that whole process to her, as to why some stranger on an internet forum courteously mailed me a brand new knife, free of charge.

Also, if I order anything, she's home all day and see's where it's coming from - so it's not like I can say no, honey. That's just where balde forums ships all their stuff from.

Tell her it was between a BK9 Knife or a Kimber 9mm Pistol NIB and then show her the cost of each one and tell her you liked saving money for you and her so that you don't have to live in a dumpy Trailer.! She will Hug & Kiss you all night.!**
