Honestly, its a pretty serious addiction.

I have a home office on the end of my house opposite the front door. I setup the baby monitor facing the door so I knew the exact second the mailman arrived with my latest purchase. Yes its bad, and I will do it again for the next three days of which more toys are coming!

HAVE
Sage3
PM2 - s30v digicam
Delica4 - FRN vg-10
Cricket
Chokwe
Gayle Bradley
Stretch ZDP-189

NEED
Techno
Domino
Caly 3.5
Probably more suggestions that others have and I instantly buy. (please feel free to let me know what I need next)

Anyone else have this problem? At least it's a victimless non-threatening addiction and most often satisfying. But addicting nonetheless.

if I could afford it, I would be there with you. Just received techno this afternoon. Only have 6 knives total, 4 of which are Spyderco. Great company

I have had this affliction for over 20 years. Hate to tell you this - but it gets worse with age...

Spyderco was a gateway drug to midtech and customs too.......... I have 2 strider SMF's inbound, 1 of which is worth $1k and is 1 of a kind + a Fluted millie.......... ALso I am carrying a sebenza, Dragonfly and have a tuff sitting in the car....... Spyderco is one of the few production companies that makes stuff I really like. My collection consists of spyderco- strider- a CRK- and a Microtech.... it hurts my wallet LOL Also have a Ozark tradition K390 FB and a Dalibor sirius on order. LOL

I gotta say, your current collection is all my top choices! You have exquisite taste sir, I tell you what, to help you out I'll give you my shipping info, that way when you feel like buying more knives you can just have some of them shipped to me, with the knives you already have I'm sure I'll love anything you pick!

Hey man, don't expect anyone on here to be shocked by your confession. ;). The way I deal with mine is by being willing to catch and release. As long as I don't hoard em I feel better about my hobby. I try to always keep 5-6 spydies that are my favorites, and I just sell off the others. If I buy a new one and it doesn't work it's way into my top 5-6 within a month or two, then off it goes to someone who will use it more. I can't stand to have them sit in a drawer. Plus I don't feel bad about buying a new one if I just sold an old one. If you don't like the idea of selling them then think of it as sharing the joy! :)

So you bought a Chokwe since yesterday and a Sage 3 the day before? Must be nice to be able to spend like that!

I bought a CC SMF one day, A lego SMF 2 days later and a fluted military the day after that, pass a few days and I bought a Deep blue Alpha marine watch ....$1k

Now to save for a car..LOL

I just seen delica and endura sprint run at gpknives, I wish I had the money I would get one of each.

I'm trying to wait until Xmas before buying my next one, but it's difficult. So, instead I've been harassing my friend to get a Domino so I can live vicariously until I'm ready to buy myself a Xmas present.

Great choices. I would add a Southard and a Military to that need list. I always recommend a Chokwe, nice you already got it.

Im with you brother. Its to the point that its driving my wife nuts. Everu night I'm on youtube checking out Spydie reviews and collections. I just started collecting Spyderco and I'm im 200%.

I bought this past month the following:

1. Wayne Goddard Sprint Run
2. Ambitious Blue G10
3. Persestance Blue G10
4. Calypso Sprint Run
5. Merlin
6. Dragonfly Green G10

Target? Almost everything!

There is no end to the addiction. Just when you think you have all the ones you want Spyderco releases their catalogue for next year and then they go and do a mid-year supplement! They are certainly a gateway drug, I know have a couple mid-techs and am buttoning up my second custom order. I see you end in sight for this disease.

Once you've been bit, you just can't quit  My neighbor calls me Mr. Redundant.....and you think you've got it bad :o

Lots of us have that addiction.

I like knives from lots of different brands, but right now the only knives on my wish list are Spyderco. Unfortunately 3 of them that I want are not available or barely available. (They way the cruwears are being trickled out and scooped up by the scammers, they might as well be unavailable.) The 4th one that I want is somewhat available used, it is just hard to find one at a good price. Well the searching at least gives me something to do.

I have

Gayle Bradley
Civilian
Endura Wave
Cricket SE
Harpy
Pacific Salt PE
Pacific Salt Tasman SE
Endura ZDP-189
Endura Super Blue
Dragonfly SE AUS-8
Manbug ZDP-189
Resilience
Native FRN
Military Safety Orange
Military Camo

I bought 20 Spyderco's in 2 months and I figured I give the other company's a try and a 2 different custom made knives ,
But for the quality and price Spyderco can't be beat .
Hands down money well spent on great products..

I'm definitely right there with you. I have 23 Spydies over about 15 months of collecting knives, with more on the way. Knife collecting in general is addictive, but Spyderco's have a special kind of appeal to them. :D
