I could have ordered any Spyderco, but I chose the Paramilitary 2.

I have the pm2, manix 2 ffg g10, native 5 g10, Delica 4 ffg and just ordered a techno!

Pm2 is my go to. It's there when I need it. Easy to take apart and maintain. Great choice

Good choice, can't go wrong with the PM2...now you will prob want more Spydies and diff PM2's...good luck with your addiction :D

I can't stand s30v. Every knife I've owned with it has had chipping issues.

I've had the same experience. It's fine at some angles, but chips when set where I like my edges and given that it's a "premium" steel I'd rather pay the premium for something else.

Or rather, save some money and get VG-10 or CPM-154. I'm certain the OP will be happy with his purchase though, it's a great knife. The camo handles look really cool when dyed too, should he feel the need for a change later.

I went the other way, I just bought a Citori CX - it took away from my knife funds. haha. Although, I did still end up buying a BM490 too. You only live once!

Hi! Had the same experience with minor chipping on my beloved PM2. In one way I am happy I’m not the only one, so I stand reassured it was not only mine :). Anyway, after “restoring” the edge with a Lansky fine diamond hone and a good stropping, this never happened again and the PM2 sees her good share of pocket time. So, I would say, don’t be afraid for this. It’s a great knife . My long version here:

@ TheEdge01: the Benelli it’s great shotgun, sometimes ago I was about getting the M4. Then I discovered the Fabarm STF 12 Compact :D . Fantastic for my needs.

Great choice!! Bet you'll get another one soon!! They are addicting!!
Her are a few of mine.

As long as the knife does what you think a knife should do, be happy with your choices. Until the next time you have the urge......

I really like every Spydie I have for their intended purposes. It would be hard for me to say that the newest Millies are not my fave. A plain VG10 Endura just may be their best overall knife, value wise.

I used to own an Endura, I plan on getting another one to replace it. I wish Wal-Mart still sold the cheapo Natives like they used to. I don't know if Spyderco discontinued that model or not. I know Spyderco still makes the Native, I don't think it's the same model that I could buy new for 35$ 8 years ago. The new Native has S35vn steel I'm not sure about the blade steel on the old Native. Anyway, those are the two Spyderco's I used to own and regret parting with.

I also have a PM2 in camo
I got it in December last year from USA as it was cheaper , even with shipping.

It is my EDC in my best pants(trousers)
I carry a ZT 0777Cf in my work pants.

Cant go wrong with the Spydie.

Yippee

I'd pick the Yo2. Love that knife. And it's not the same knife as the PM2. Handle has a whole different shape and feel.

I'm not a huge fan of the PM2, it's too small and light for me. It was one of the first knives I bought after becoming a member here and seeing all of the praise it had from folks here. I got it and was like "This is so...dainty." So, I sold it off on the Exchange.

That said, the beauty of Spyderco is that they make plenty of blades I DO love, like the Gayle Bradleys. Those are a clear favorite for me. :D

If your PM2 ever feels too small for you, I highly recommend grabbing a Manix2 in whatever flavor you can find! Fantastic knife, and the ergos are superior (to me).

I genuinely hope you enjoy your new knife, brother.
