I am not trying to rub it in but I am the guy who got the Renegade. I am new to FF too. This is only my 2nd FF Friday purchase.

Part of the fun is to shark down the pieces you like. As there is a 12 hours different from where I stay, I have to wake up at 3am to participate in the FF Friday. I usually can't sleep after that all the adrenaline rush of putting my order through lol.

Two of the FF I bought a few weeks ago are on their long way home to me now. I will bring them into the woods to check them out when I get the chance. Having a 6 months old daughter behind my back has made it extremely challenging for me to make time for such exciting activities now.

That is awesome, great score. Quite the commitment getting up at 3am. All though I wish you would have slept in on this last Friday LOL.
Enjoy the renegade, you deffinetly earned it. You will have to let us know how you like it.

+1 on the DPR. I've got a few fiddlebacks, and the DPR made me say WOW! Even my wife seemed to like it-- no small feat. However, you can't go wrong (well maybe you could, but that's a whole 'nuther story -- Lets just say that there is a lot of daylight between the Drop Point Renegade and the Renegade.

Welcome aboard. I hope you find "the one" like you said earlier.

Glad you decided on a Fiddleback. But be careful, once bitten it's hard to get the venom out of your system. The only cure is... another Fiddleback!! Kinda like when someone needs more cowbell.

And when you finally get one, make sure to post up first impressions, what you like, etc.

And here is the problem. The more reading I do the more knives I find that I want. Like the handyman and the EDC II. I would deffinetly use those two more, in a EDC carry knife role.
 
^^ All the time. We just got done with a day hike into Veda lake. We find ourselves up on Mt. Hood all the time. Lots of good hiking and camping to be had up there.
