I decided to buy a Becker instead

I had been thinking about maybe getting a Randall but couldn't see paying that much for a knife. I then thought about the Cold Steel or Blackjack Randall knockoffs. The more I read, the more I decided that a Becker was the way to go. Ended up with a BK-2 & a BK-7 and still had money left over.

A very wise decision. You simply can't go wrong with Becker.

Now all you need is a Becker folder to round it out.;)

Yup-would happily leave the Benchmade and the Opinel at home for a Becker folder. If only there was some way to let Ethan and KA-BAR know that we wanted a folder....
 
Really there should be two becker folders if you ask me, a small and a large. The large should be close to the size of a BK2. I would pay good money for any over built full size BK2 that folds!

I put that on there somewhat (but only somewhat) tongue in cheek. Actually, there is another thread that was started as a petition ( http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=735207 ), that lets them know that a lot of people want this folder.

I'm pretty sure that they know all about it. With any luck, they'll say something about it . . . sometime soon, I hope.:D

Ethan's been away doing awayish things, but he's supposed to be back soon. Maybe then, he'll say something.

still had money left over? lol... yeah, a LOT of money left over, and five years of your life.
I am awaiting my first Randall. I ordered it in March 2006. Its expected delivery date if March 2011. You could try to wear your Beckers out in the five years you would have to wait. Good luck with that. I think they are made from Unobtainium. They'll last forever. Good choice.

It's not out of the question. There's no reason that there couldn't be two Becker folders: the full size one that I've already done, and a smaller one for edc.

It all just depends on what Ethan, Toooj and KA-BAR decide to do, and I suspect that depends on their market analysis . . . or maybe whether they simply like the design.

You mean you wouldn't carry the full size one EDC? Sissy! Of course you might have to wear a pair of these to make it work...

LMAO. The Becker folder is larger than most, but it's not that big, which is a good thing, because I can't see myself wearing trousers like that.

I'm probably one of the least fashion conscious people on the entire planet, but even I wouldn't wear those.

I would carry the Becker folder, though, even if it did drag my trousers down a little.:D

Congrats on the purchases. I have to agree whole-heartedly with your strategy! I have come to buy knives in the same fashion.

I somehow don't think they'd fit my studly physique (round is the same as studly, right?), but if you like them then, by all means, go ahead. We want pictures, of course.:D
 
Congrats! The very same pair of Beckers that I own. Couldn't ask for a better set! Welcome to the Becker Brethren!
 
About your pants hanging down,

(1) you will be fashionable like the youth of today

(2) you will have a Kabar/ Becker folder

I would suggest suspenders also.
