I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Endura G-10 and it is a beauty. The fit and finish is impeccable. It is built like a tank with a real solid feel. This makes my fifth Endura (don't tell my wife). The only negative I have to say is the factory edge was 50 degrees inclusive. I always rebevel new knives so it is no biggie. They are sweeeeet knives.

Congrats Robert Ptacel! That is a great knife, I bet it will slice like a demon once you re-profile the bevel thinner.

If you stand the knife up and down, meaning edge down, spine straight up, the inclusive edge would be the triangle that BOTH bevels make, like this /\

The exclusive/not included angle would be the angle of one bevel, like /| or |\

I was just saying that if the blade was ground at the factory at 15 degrees per side it would have made rebevel easier. The edge was kind of obtuse as it came. We have to remember these are factory made knives and the level of quality is outstanding. There will always be variation in the manufacturing process even in a custom. The thrust of my post was the knife is impeccably made. I didn't have adjust the blade pivot it was perfect for me right out of the box. Kudos to Mr. Glesser!

(Okay, I'm just kind of poking fun here. . . Dont' take me too seriously. I just can't help myself though. . .:p)

Wow, I'd be extremely unhappy to receive a knife with an obtuse edge. Send that thing back!

(An obtuse angle is one that is greater than 90 degrees, and less than 180 degrees. ;))

Well he means "less acute." 30º is "more acute" than 40º, and 40º is "more obtuse" than 30º.

Yeah, I knew what he meant. . . I was just playing around and being one of those annoying people who always correct other people's use of language. It really is a common misuse of the word here on the forums though. No harm intended.

You are right. I stand corrected and no offense taken.

Wow! 50 thats thick. Most Spydies I have ever bought have been 30 or 40 at most.

The FFG is nice and thin so it really was no problem. On the other hand it is not too thin that it is delicate. A very nice balance.
