This happened slowly over time but It Happened...I've become excitable about Buck Strider Knives...who knew it could happen:o:o

PlumDave,

I told you to grab that other 881...now see what happened...STRIDERIZED!!!

:eek:LOL, That's just what I need to do! Get hooked on another style!

I did get one of the brown Tarani's. It's not bad at all, but the texture of the handles reminds me somewhat of a file! Makes me want to wear gloves when I handle it. Could it be that retirement has caused my hands to become soft?

Very awesome and business like looking bunch there.

Everyone of those folders is going to be illegal with this new bit of Democratic Government interferance. Jay Parker last night on "Knives Live" kept saying "those knuckleheads." I got the distinct impression he had harsher words.

Anyway, I do like the little 881. Just got them today. I would swear to you I'm not a Tactical knife guy but prefer the old style but one can fool himself on occasion.

Well Godon,

If they make me in to a criminal due to the fact that over half of the knives in my collection are folders. Let them try to come and get them. I don't have as many guns as I do knives. However, I have at least 40 to 1 in bullets:cool:

PS: 4570's leave a very big hole

Aw, Gordon, you're just saying that because you know I'm a Randall junkie. But at least the Randalls are more traditional than your Striders.

Here's my newest acquisition for you to "admire from afar":

(Crap. Had planned on doing something more interesting with my thousandth post. Oh well.)

John,

We may have to hide out down in New Mexico and SW Texas. I hear they got Elk in 'dem Texas Hills and a 4570 would work darn good. But I've never skinned a deer hanging on the side of a pine tree before.

Close, but no cigar. A #14 with buckeye.

Should have know, wrong guard for a number One. OK then...want to trade??
I think I'd rather be Randallized than Striderized!!

Heh heh heh. Nice try.

Actually, you can put just about any hilt on any knife, so that's not necessarily going to tell you what model it is.

They are very tough knives. I like them alot. I started backwards I think, as it was the ATS-34 Tarani, and the 880's that actually got me started on 110's and collecting bucks in general. I still need to get one of the fixed blade Buck/Striders though.

Take care, Mike Arnold

Goose,

That avatar really cracks me up!! And yep, you've been Striderized too.
Question: What's the blade steel on the Ironwood Tarani's?
