I don’t get it?

Did they mark it as rare?? Lol, how many times have we seen that one. I wonder about rust spots though, what do you have to do to make 420hc rust?
Lest we forget the "C" stands for carbon. I have several knives thet were given to me that were acquired ove 15 years of metal detecting.. Ugh, you wouldnt believe the condition and pitting. Mine are an extreme example though.

Ahh ok did not take my investigation as far as you. Guess i’ll put all my Walmart knives away. Oh after i take them out of the salt water of course…..

I've wanted a Buckmaster LT 185 since they were first discontinued. I've had alerts on eBay for when they go on sale for a few years now. Every once in awhile one pops up for a few hundred dollars which I'm not willing to pay. About 6 months ago 185s have popped up with alarming regularity from Japan for $1490! (or best offer ). I wonder why so many of these knives are in Japan? They are either a well done fake or someone there bought a boatload of these when they were available.

Could it have something to do with the Chinese made Buck knives rumor ?

I remember a few years ago when I saw in multiple YouTube videos and heard a few people I know saying something along the lines of " I don't know when Buck knives stopped being made here " or " too bad Bucks are made in China now "

I've also know a couple people who thought the 110lt was an official replacement for the classic 110.
Nobody is saying this in their Ebay listings, but maybe a lot of people think Bucks are now made in China or that the classic 110 has been replaced ?

Yes I’ve heard the same thing several times the last few years and some are local businesses that sell knives. Once something gets started on the internet it’s a mess. I try to straighten them out but some act like they are in the know.

Aren’t you all glad we don’t go on the internet?
why go there when we can just come to bladeforums…right?

I got my 40 year old 110, with sheath, for $45. Needed a little cleaning and sharpening, but looked barely used otherwise. That's a scam auction.
