I don't get it. I just don't.

As a youth they were my grail. I never had my own until I was older. I have to say, now that I know much more about knives, they don't really fit my needs very well. I still have a place in my heart for the good ol 110 :)

Hi iambored388 - -

Not the best looking?

I don't think anyone has improved on the look of the Buck 110.

Great company, great knives. Nuff said!

best regards -

Fifty years ago I liked the Gerbers better, but Buck is like The Rolling Stones, they just keep rolling on.

I'm with BenLankford & knivesandguns. Bucks are ok as long as they stay in their own forum. Don't want them cluttering up the general like this. Same goes for Spyderco, CRK, Kershaw, Strider, Emerson, and all the rest. Stay the heck home in the forum where you belong and leave the general nice and empty the way God intended.

If every knife I own disappeared except for one of my 110's, I'd do just fine.

I grew up with Buck knives. Carried a Buck Muskrat for 25+ years. The tip of the clip blade is gone and the splay is pretty thin but it still takes a razor edge. And yes I did hammer it through nails, like the old emblem, when I was a kid. Broke the tip throwing it into a tree. That knife endured a lot of abuse in my youth and still works just fine after 38 years of ownership.

Same here. I got ahold of a Buck pamphlet/catelog when I was about 12 years old and fell in love with the 120 General. I remember one of the selling points for the 120 was that it would make a good fighting knife. That was early '70s.

I love my 2 buck knives that I carry and use I have a few other ones but really I love my 110 and my kalinga folder. Really I'd take either over the majority of newfangled stuff.

It's an American company manufacturing knives in America with American employees. What's not to like about that?

Before I " transformed " into a knife nut , I carried a 110 for over 25 years. It's all I took in the bush , fishing , survival mode , hunting... you name it. It never let me down. It did everything.

After mega use , the blade play got real sloppy , so I bought another one.

And some 112's
And some Cold Steel's
And some Spyderco's
And some Gerber's
And some Puma's
And some Kabar's
And some Schrade's
And some Benchmade's
And some Fallkniven's
And some Becker's
And some.......oh, what the heck !

See what Buck did to me !!

Did someone say "Buck 110"?
