"I Don't Get No Respect!"

For sure, spending the last year on here has been the best thing I could do as a collector. I've learned more in a year about knives here then anywhere else. All of you guys have helped me understand more about this community and the knives and it has been most enjoyable. I did not want to name names because I'll forget some but its the regulars whos contribution has been important. STeven, Les, Kevin, Joss, Peter Gil, Don H, Coop, Canine Joe, RogerP, David (DDD), Keith, Josh.. and all. I am starting to feel as if I won an oscar! STeven, you are hilarious and very knowledgeable and I love your posts. What is with the capitol T?

yeah....what is with the capital T.......i have learned a tremendous amount on these forums.....a special thanks to STeven for recommending paul long so highly....i have gotten numerous sheaths from him and am waiting on one more knife to send him to complete the sheaths i need.....thank you for turning me on to such a great craftsman.....everybody hre contributes alot with great pictures.....everyone takes such great pics.....coop shares so many great pics ....i have learned so much from just looking at his pics....and a thank you to les robertson for sharing his wisdom on the knife market.....i also really enjoy interacting with makers......i don't spend thousands upon thousands of dollars a year and can't order alot of knives so it is a treat to still interact with makers ask questions about certain knives and so on.....thanks to all who contribute.....ryan

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the capital T either. There are rules for capitalization, darn it.

:o

Came from typing quickly and holding down the caps button while doing it...had to keep hitting the back space, and typing in the small case "t".

Liked the way it looked, and it stuck.....while there are a lot of people who know me in the knife world, many didn't know my full name, for one reason or another....because of short attention spans, and lack of general interest in cyberspace....I didn't want to waste my time here....one way to make sure people stop to take notice, initially at least, is to do things differently, right?;)

I've been doing it so long, don't really see a reason to change, even though I am now "known".

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I feel this forum and it's members deserve Much Respect, although some in the industry don't feel this way. This place is a wealth of information.

I have noticed in the last year or so, that a few articles in the knife mags were spawned from discussions that started here first. We will see more of this, I'm sure.

This forum gets brought up in many phone conversions I have and is talked about at shows. I have also watched Blade Forums grow considerably since I first signed up.

My respect to all here

Darn, I sure have Coop fooled. In his case the feeling is more than mutual not only is it based on knives, but other things I know about him personally.

I have much respect for this community and have learned much from STeven and Les as far as a top two, but all of the regulars here have added much to my knowledge and enjoyment.

I've learned the most from Kevin Cashen and Les Robertson. Learned form Steven that it isn't always best to say only nice things when doing a critique.
Would probably never have decided to hang around the Custom & Handmade Knives forum if it wasn't for the way that it was moderated by Gus when I first checked the place out. Enjoy and value the input provided by so many that it would be impossible to name them all.

Now THERE'S a serious omission on my part - :o - I have learned a TON from Cashen. He doesn't post a lot (or at least, it seems to be in fits and spurts) but the value of the information contained in his posts is simply off the charts.

I find all of STeven's posts enjoyable and informative, but his show reviews are unsurpassed, IMHO. All he needs is a sidekick to take some pics. ;) We should canvass for a vounteer at Blade.
