I don't know about you guys but my Domino has been absolutely perfect!

My Domino is the one Spyderco I carry the most but I did just get the Manix with S110V. To many knives, not enough pockets.

For me, they are totally different from a Domino. Profile, scale, bearing system..

I have three Sages and had a Domino (hated it, sold it) and it was clearly just a bulkier flipper Sage 1.5 to me. Take the titanium frame lock from the 2, and steal some CF (the cosby sweater scale was actually my favorite part of the knife, love that stuff) from the Sage 1. Make it eat up a bunch more pocket space, and slap on a flipper. Voila ;)

In all seriousness, there is more than a passing resemblance:

I tried what you suggested above, but it didn't feel right. The Domino does, but I don't like the flipper as a way of opening the knife ;)

The main reason for disliking the flipper on the Domino is how it hits my thumb when closing it and 5 minutes on a grinder solved that (with cooling of course)

I love my Spyderco folders. Up till this point I've only ever used the hole and I love it. My Domino is my first Spyderco with the flipper and I for one really like it, I'm surprised at all you guys that aren't fans! It is a very nice feeling knife in hand and I find the flipping motion a very smooth manner of deployment. I do agree with a couple of other guys who mentioned it is quite wide. Compared to my Delica the Domino is HUGE! But then compare cutting edge and there isn't much more there. For the blade size it is a big knife, but it does feel good in the hand.

I instantly fell in love with the Domino vs the Sage 2. The Sage 2's sharp beveled edges did it a disservice. But that's what I like about knives. We're allowed to be nitpicky about stuff. What doesn't work for me on the Sage 2 most people who love it say its not an issue. And the Domino is much bulkier than say my Delica, but that's why I like the Domino so much, it fills the hand comfortably. For me, like the Delica and UKPK I have zero criticisms or complaints about it, this is how I know I most likely will never get rid of this knife.

Once I put on a low ride pocket clip (Thanks Casey!), I started carrying it more. The thing is pretty dang tough!
