Ok, great... ...So it's almost 8am here in chilly, foggy Penn's woods, and with no sleep, I'm facing one of those rare days where I gotta be out before 9 to hit a meeting, firing on all cylinders... I am not a morning person in the slightest!!! Coffee's in hand, biscuits are just about done (pre-made, sorry Guyon... Wish I had the time to make from scratch! Yours posted yesterday looked great, and the reason why I baked any at all today.)

There's only ONE THING that'll get me through...

COFFEE!!!

So, as I sit waiting for my biscuits, I was curious what coffee y'all drank to get the motor runnin' on days like this. Me? I get my beans shipped from Martinez, in Atlanta GA. and I make that coffee STRONG.

Also... I need a little fashion accessory advice. ;) Which Busse do ya think I should wear to this meeting to keep 'em in line??? :grumpy: :D

Y'all have a good one, today!

I've been waiting for 2 hours for the coffee shop to open. Just about to walk the dogs down there. I'll be carrying a Hellrazor. Probably have a French roast with a shot of espresso in it.

I'd go with a Battle Mistress for the board meeting.

use to drink maryland butternut, but they don't make it any more. so i've switched to blacksilk.

A Battle Mistress?? THAT would be fun!! lolz, I could spine whack the table to emphasize my points... :D:thumbup:

Oh yeah... I'm gonna definitely have to stop for a vente, black-eye at the nearby Starbucks before I go in. Can you say "wired"?:eek:

I'm going to carry my Shiva Rex to work today, in my right front pocket! Great concealed EDC. I would carry a BAD if I were you! Have a great day!

I like a hazelnut/vanilla blend. I set the bean grinder on espresso and run it thriugh 2 grind cycles, so its just dust. For 4 cups of coffee I grind enough beans for 6 cups. I heat the creamer in the microwave so it doesn't cool the coffee also.

Yeah, I like coffee that you can chew:eek:

Jaxx, I'd carry at least a Hell Razor, if not a SFNO. Something nice, but very business like:thumbup:

Dang Art, you not only have great taste in knives, coffee too???

French Roast is my default for "off-the-shelf" coffee (starbucks or seattle's best).

Of course, you all know, the darker the brew = more taste = less caffeine , so I drink LOADS of it

Here's some good stuff worthy of Hogdom:

Wouldn't this morning cup'a joe taste better in a Busse mug? I prefer something lighter myself, typing here at my laptop with a cup of fresh ground Guatemala Antigua from Starbucks. Earthy and mild!

I too was thinking about drinking in a busse mug this morning.. I set my coffee to go off at 6:15AM, .. I fix 10 cups.. 5 for me and 5 for my wife.. it is either Hazelnut, Cinamon swirl or French Vanilla.. for my 5 cup MONDO CUP.. I put in 3 sweet and lows and two Tbsp of Chocolate Truffle creamer... Ah, when I go into my classroom the students love the smell of Mr. Moore's coffee in the morning... It also gets me to come alive.. So they will definately understand when i get a Busse mug to go with my Busse Screen saver. I never drank coffee until I got married, now she's got me addicted to the stuff.

Jaxx - Hopefully tonight you will sipping champagne from your Busse coffee mug - toasting the Phillies win :-)

And if you go to the parade, you better take an AK and a FBM.

I was a true coffee snob for many years, but now I drink instant. Although I miss real taste, what I drink now is easier on my digestive system. Even as nasty as it is.

Hate coffee... This is my morning drink!!

Got the HD beside me on the desk, just stropped it a couple times on some 600 grit for paper slicing. Finished my second cup of fresh ground homemade Starbucks Sumatra with a touch of half/half. Unfortunately facing a hot cup of Folgers from the Big Bunn in the coffee room next. It will really taste like $h1t on top of these cough drops.

We get free coffee at work (Ronnoco), but I just can't drink it. The prepackaged and preground portions are way too small so you can almost read the paper through a full carafe. I don't like weak coffee and I really don't like bad tasting weak coffee.

I buy coffee from Metropolis in Chicago and have it shipped fresh. Gring the beans every morning and throw them in a small ziplock then off to work.

At work on my desk I have a cordless electric kettle, a drip cone w/#6 filters, and a Nissan thermos. Less than 10 minutes I have good AND strong coffee with almost no cleanup.

Everyone that's in the area comes by for a gratuitous smell in the AM but most don't enjoy real coffee so I don't have to share much.

That's right! I completely forgot the treat I have stashed in the back of my bottom drawer!

Leopard Forest Coffee. A funky little place with excellent beans and Belgian Truffles! I've been there once but I order through the mail often.

Not an advertisement but surely a testimonial.

Kona, to me is like the Guiness of Coffee! It's bitterness and tangy flavor is perfect!

If I don't have Kona, I will usually do a chocolate or rasperry-ish flavored blend or a good bitter blend.
I don't know what it is about the Starbucks house offering but I can't stand it! Of the three locations near by it's always the same, way too bitter and metallic tasting:barf:

Anyone tried Kopi Luwak? A friend of mine had it when he was in the Navy and said it would be right up there with the other crap (no pun intended) I like to drink.
