I don't smoke, but I love this cigar (GEC White Owl)

The Krypto is bright but it certainly does look better in real life.

I strongly agree with you Trand about the FEEL of these acrylic knives, they're so smooth and rounded in the hand and I suppose they are un-affected by moisture changes unlike natural materials. This Owl rules!

Again, for comparison, an older #53 in Kryptonite.

Very nice Jeff!! Here's the pile side. Should be easier to compare the two when you don't have to flip pages. Could it be that the scales on the WO are thinner than on the Cuban? The covers on mine look clearer with less shimmer.

It looks different enough to me that I wonder if they didn't change the process, somewhat.

Maybe... Maybe they also changed the color of the backing of the acrylic. I can see that it is white on mine. You can see it in the top pic too, looks like little streaks in the green. Perhaps its making the color come out lighter.

Certainly looks different, like the change in Dead Skunk.

My Krypto has a pearl like whirl in it too.

Chris, that pic captures the colour of my WO very accurately.

Do prefer a red-yellow apple though....:D

How are you liking it so far, Andrew?

I have an ebony White Owl on the way, and am eager for its arrival. I usually prefer a clip blade, but the spear looks good to me on this one.

The ebony should feel right at home alongside my cocobolo Northfield 72 and rosewood John Lloyd Shadow.

Hey Doug! Your pictures need no apology. I think the ebony on your knife looks good. I'm usually of the mind "the darker the better" when it comes to ebony, but yours is fairly unique and I really like how it looks! Congrats, and enjoy your Owl.

Doug--That ebony is awesome. I know the all black is more desirable to some, but I love the way this particular variety looks.
I really like the white owl pattern. Very old-timey and traditional looking.

Doug, great looking knife! I like the variation of that ebony! ChrisY...Your apple photo made me buy the Kryptonite!

Some photos of the profile of the main clip blade on a Northfield. They did a nice job on the grind and swedges.

Fine work, must be a slicer. Good job on the bolsters/scales too. You got a legend!
