I couldnt get loctite to stick and keep from loosening up too much after flicking 50 times. Its currently sitting for the whole week because I don't want to risk using with loctite uncured.

As many have said cleaning the surfaces to be loctited is important, there is a "prep" solution you can buy (carburetor cleaner or brake cleaner will do as well).

hahahahaha . . . you realize that loctite is an anaerobic adhesive right ?
That means it hardens in the absence of oxygen. Rather than leave it a week you would have better results in a day if you put it in one of those vacuum pack bags and draw a vacuum on it.
