To all you folks that were part of my discussion on wether i should buy the Mini CQC-7 or the Southerngrind Spider Monkey....well i went with the CQC. I just could not get the knife out of my head, so i went for it. It has been about a week of carry, and i have to say, its quite the beast. The Tanto blade and chisel grind work just fine for my daily tasks. Additionally, the handle is very ergonomic, at least in my hand, and i like the weight/ semi beefyness of the build even though the knife is on the small side.
I wear large gloves and this is a four finger knife for me. my only complaints are that: one, it has "sticky lock" but apparently i just have to break the knife in a bit. Two, the g10 is sandpaper like literally I've been using it to sand things down as apposed to traditional paper cause this thing makes normal sand paper look silly. The handles reek havoc on my pants.

All in all i would rate the knife a 8.3/10

Pros: size, ergo, looks, wave feature, quality, design and warranty

Cons: Price (170), sticky lock, sandpaper for handles and the pocket clip is stronger than i am and it makes me feel like a scrub.

P.S. i am in no way qualified to review knives so take everything with a grain of salt!

Congrats, both are great knives. My only complaint about the emerson is the chisel grind, but that is a personal preference. The Emerson has always begged to be used, while the spidermonkey is a little more refined, plus you saved about $50(another pro)
