I feel the urge for a GEC-Whittler question

I am trying to resist, but it seems resistance is futile. How are the springs in the Whittler?

They are listening to their customers and have lightened the springs to offer a good snap, but not hurt the fingernails on opening. Since all three blades have their own spring there are no concerns.

It would be good to hear from someone that has carried this model for a couple of weeks....
