They still running the steel extra hard on these?
Only thing I know that's changed is the first run or so did not have milled out liners, resulting in slightly more weight.
my main problem with the GB is the handle shape. it reminds me of something that's alive. of course, it won't matter once i'm holding the knife and using it, but if i get one, it'll probably go straight to a customizer.
,The GB will definitely be my next folder once my Military obsession dies down and I get my kids their x-mas gifts. But posts like these sure make it hard to wait.
No one around me has that knife and the only way to feel it or see it is to buy it , but i think after xmass Gayle Bradley and Southard will knock on my door and a winner will stay in my pocket.
very tempted by this knife. My main nitpick is the Carbon Fiber/G-10 Laminate scales. Give me one or the other. If I'm getting the slight heft of g10 over carbon fiber might as well get the grippiness of G10 on top too. Though not my cup of tea full carbon fiber would've been fine too. Like I said it's a nitpick.
:thumbup:The Gayle Bradley is an awesome knife:thumbup:
The quality, fit and finish is up there with knives like the sebenza!
I even see some similarities of the GB and a Sebbie,
-they both have that "bank vault" feel
-they both use a pivot bushing
-they both have impeccable fit & finish
These knives were meant to work, and work hard! Although the GB falls short with its carbon steel blade, that can be remedied by forcing a patina. With a forced patina, it requires significantly less maintenance IMO.
