I finally got Case Peanut knife

Congrats on your new knife.. I too just bought a Case peanut off the exchange. Chestnut with CV blades. My first too. I was so excited. It was due here Monday. Guess what? It got lost in mail. Tracking number just stopped. I made a few calls but I'm not holding my breath. It was so purty too. :(

I know your pain and dissapointment. :(
About 12 or 15 years ago, I bought a rather nice J. A. Coxe #66 vintage/antique fishing reel off the bay. It was late. When "it" finally showed up, what I got was part of the box with the address lable, (in a baggie) with a letter from the postal service telling me that one of their sorting machines ate the box. The reel was "lost" and I never got it. :(
On the "plus" side I sent the seller an email with pictures showing what I had received.
He sent me a nice vintage/antique Pfluger Rocket to replace the Coxe. That one did arrive safe and sound. :)
Have you let let the seller know? I would have hin check the delivery confirmation number, and find out if he used a box or envelope to ship it.
I hope you get the peanut. :)

I have four of them. Pocket Worn Bermuda Green SS, Ocean Blue Case Collectors Club SS, Chestnut Bone CV, and Yellow Delrin CV.

I carry the green one almost every day in my jeans watch pocket. Good little knives for many typical daily tasks.

Thanks. I hope I get it too. That's a good idea, I'll inquire to see if he shipped in a box. I'm betting not. I did let him know it was returned to sender a couple days ago but haven't heard anything since then.

Old Engineer Old Engineer Harry: Here's the pile side of the really dark Walnut peanut you asked about. I think this dye is more typical of the run? I was lucky to get the nice, dark mark side on this one.

I had to go back to the Mark Side picture and look at it again . There is such a big difference between the Mark and Pile sides . This Pile side coloration is closer what mine and others that I have seen are like . I think you have a little jewel there my friend . Hope to see you in Titusville .

GasMan1 GasMan1 I hope you got your Peanut soon!

And thanks to everyone for comments!

It's great little knife, I've now used mostly only it.
I still carry my Delica with Peanut, but I seem always pull out the Peanut
when I need to cut something.
It's really amazing knife.

By the way, it occured to me if I should keep this one safe and buy another for use.
This Peanut has text on blade:
Limited XX Edition
1 of 3000

And on bolster (is bolster a rigth word?) text:
Limited XX Edition
30

I'll post photos when I get new digi camera.
(wrecked my old one when moving)

Like many others, I blame Carl that I did buy my Peanut! :D;)
Really, after reading those great stories, I did think I could give little knife a try.
Glad I did!

Harry I agree, most of them I have seen are lighter on both sides. I like this little jewel.:thumbsup:

Welcome to the Dark Side, the peanut is very versatile for it's small size. My neuropathy laden bear paws can operate it with no problem whatsoever.

I have been seriously considering getting a Peanut. They are definitely popular. There is a good Case dealer nearby, so I just need to find one with covers that appeal to me with regard to color and jigging. On the other hand, I've been wondering if I wouldn't like a Tiny Trapper even more. Guess I need to go look and compare.
I like you where looking at the Tiny Trapper and Peanut. I went with the Peanut have had it a few weeks really like it got it in white for the mid $30.00 range.
