OK....I happen to be a man who really knows how to appreciate "hand made" or "custom" (semi-custom) items like fine firearms, knives, and watches.

I just picked up a LARGE Sebenza 21 that is has a polished blade and polished scales with Gabon ebony inlays.....this thing is sheer finesse and sex at it's finest. I got to look at a 25 but the person who showed it to me said he made a mistake and should have bought a 21 instead.

I originally wanted carbon fiber inlays with polished scales....but could only find ONE Lrg 21 with black ebony inlays. This really is the Rolls Royce of knives....or the Wilson Combat of 1911s. ;-)

Nice! You're gonna love it more and more as you use it. I'd be surprised if you didn't buy more CRKs. I have 4 myself and am really wanting to add an Inkosi.

I am also saving up for a Wilson 1911...you have great taste there too!

I couldn't agree more!! I actually like the Gabon ebony better than the carbon fiber inlays, it is a classier look in my eyes. And yes, that is a nice pistol there DrtyHarry! You do have good taste. Since you like Wilson Combat you would be pleased with a Starbenza, or a StarTac just to match your pistol; I love them all.

Go look on the Wilson Combat webpage under "knives" and check out the CRK/Wilson Collab...youll be spending more money! $$$$:)

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Oh Lord….the only time I put the knife down was only to look at more models on line!! And I tell ya, I can't for the life of me understand why 99% of the people who own both a 21 & a 25 prefer the 21 over the 25!? I would think that one with all this equipment, skill, expertise, and history, would know how to make an improved version. Weight means nothing to me….I just can't understand why the 21 is still so much more preferred over the 25??

Man….I would love to see this knife with another inch on it. That would be a dream come true. I'm toying with the notion of buying another clip for the knife and sending it out to be cerekoted in black since all I wear is black jeans/pants. Anyone have a suggestion where to send it to get cerekoted? I may just order one from CRK and have them ship it directly to the shop, cook it, than send it back to me….hmmm…

Why no love for the 25?????

The 25 was not intended to replace or upgrade the 21 (which is why it hasn't), it's a different knife entirely, with quite a few significant differences, which is why both are offered. I own both. I am currently carrying my 25, but prefer the 21 overall. Feel blessed to own both, but would sell the 25 to keep a 21 if I had too. Not sure exactly why.......I suppose the 21 just makes total immediate sense, while the 25 needs justifications in my mind (why I need a thicker blade, why I need finger choils/grooves, why I don't want a pivot bushing, why I want a thicker grind, why is the clip the way it is.....etc etc). I love the 25, but find myself making excuses for it if that makes sense. It's still 95% awesome, but the 21 is 99% awesome to me.

I don't own a 25 but I probably will at some point. The biggest issue I have with it is the adjustable pivot and the need to use locktite to set it. I have to do this with some of my others knives and my OCD means I'm forever adjusting them. The simplicity and precision of the 21 needing no adjustments is what is so attractive to me.

Very nice choice! +1 on checking out the Wilson versions- they have an extra bonus of having better grips:)

Josh at RazorEdgeKnives does great cerakoting at very reasonable prices.
You'll probably have to sand it off around the edge, though.
The tolerances are extreme on a Sebenza, even where the clip is inserted.

Congrats on a beautiful 21!
+1 on the WC Starbenza 25, I love mine
Had a plain 25 and saw the Wilson Combat version and knew I would love the look and feel of it way better,
it's the perfect 25 IMHO
And I don't have any problem at all with the pivot tension, it is one of the smoothest sebenza's I own!

Now if only it wasn't so hard to pick up a Wilson Combat .45 in Canada to go with it. Damn stifling Canadian gun laws and the lame sales market they bring with them

Thanks! So the StarBenza is a LARGE 25? I take it has the stonewash finish as well? Hmm…..well, maybe it's not all that bad. I like the StarBenza…I like the fact it has the burst like grips that the newer Wilsons come with. I actually took off the newer start burst Wilson G10 grips and had the older versions put back on. LOL. So I'm not sure…I do want to get a 25…but was hoping I could get one with a satin or a polished blade, not a stonewash blade. Is that the case? Can I get a 25 in a satin or a polished blade? What do the Starbenzas go for these days? Is there like a super premium using both the name "Wilson" and "Sebenza"?? I'm guessing that might be the case…if it's not much, I won't mind. I know some of my Wilson buddies that would pay the price of a Wilson .45 for a knife that is Wilson affiliated.

In CRK there is only two blade finishes in S35VN. Stonewashed, and polished. There is technically no "satin" though arguably the more recent stonewash finish from CRK is very fine, and resembles what others would call "satin". The old CRK stonewash, especially the S30V blades, was much more coarse, dark, and sparkly.

OK….so it looks like I will be picking up a Star-Benza Titanium Frame Lock 25. I wish it didn't have the stonewash finish, but eh…I'll have one with and one one without. And from what I was told, it looks a bit more "satin" than it does stonewash. Ugh….ok, this will be my last one. Promise. lol.

Cool choice. I've never held one of the Wilson's and have always wondered what they felt like. The 25 does look great with the WC starburst, and probably moreso once it gets some pocket wash in it. Don't forget to use those knives!!!

Starbenza 25 or 21??? I can't compare them side by side….I have the 21 with the inlays pictured above. Should I just get the 25 for "collectors" sake….or will I regret it? Perhaps I should stick with another 21? Without being able to look at them side by side….I can only go buy your opinions here. So please…help a guy out will ya fellas? THANKS!!! :) Oh, and when looking at the WC page, looks like a whole lot of people wrote reviews for the 21 over the 25. Is that because the 25 has not been out that long, because the 21 is a better buy, or because more people are buying 21s than 25?

Harry

(An all black model would have been nice like in the smaller mods)
