I finally got one!!! And I can't put it down!!!!

Starbenza 25 or 21??? I can't compare them side by side….I have the 21 with the inlays pictured above. Should I just get the 25 for "collectors" sake….or will I regret it? Perhaps I should stick with another 21? Without being able to look at them side by side….I can only go buy your opinions here. So please…help a guy out will ya fellas? THANKS!!! :) Oh, and when looking at the WC page, looks like a whole lot of people wrote reviews for the 21 over the 25. Is that because the 25 has not been out that long, because the 21 is a better buy, or because more people are buying 21s than 25?

Harry

(An all black model would have been nice like in the smaller mods)

Id go 25. You already have the large 21, and variety has worth. The 25 is a great knife. Very smooth and cool looking. In all honesty though, I wouldn't buy anything for a few weeks. There are lots of varieties of the models, and the one that appeals to you most right now might change in a day or two when everything is new and exciting. Learn your 21, carry that for a while......browse the sellers and threads to learn what appeals to you most, or, of course, you could just freak out and buy 15 CRKs in the next two months like most of us did......just trying to help you learn from my mistake!

I couldn't agree with you more about waiting, I just read in a few places that the Wilson models are only made in limited numbers, and I'd hate to miss the boat on one of those. But….again, I don't know if I want a 25 or 21. I know I like the polished blade but can't get that in the 25….or any inlays in the Wilson models…and that's fine with me. The G10 grip texture should be plenty. Like I said, the only reason why I said maybe I should jump on the Wilson model is because they may disappear.

I have 2 blades on back order that I am really looking forward to….no way I can afford all 3. I either dump the 2 I have waiting and get the Wilson Sebenza…or just wait it out. I'll probably wait I think….one of the knives I'm waiting for also comes in limited numbers...

FYI: The pattern on the wilsons is machined into the titanium. There are no G10 slabs offered by CRK.

I know that, I meant the pattern of the engravings follow the G10 engravings on the G10 scales of the 1911s….sorry about that. It is cool looking, and I'm totally one who likes to have everything match. Had I known there were Wilson variants out there, I probably would have picked one of those up first. BUT….I really really like the polished scales and inlays. I just have to be patient...

Man, if you've got a WC 1911 you've GOT to have one of the WC CRKs! I've got a buddy who's got 2 or 3 WC CRKs but no 1911 and really wants one. I think a matching set would be amazing. If I ever drop the coin one day on a WC, I might as well go ahead and add the expense of the matching CRK(s) along with it.

Either way, your first def won't be your last.

I know I know….like I said, I just have to figure out what I want. I REALLY REALLY want to get my hands on a 25 and compare it with a 21. BUT…since I can't, I think I will just pick up a 25 and just hope for the best. I have two knives on backorder right now….so I need to slow down a bit. It's funny…..I sold my Microtech collection to fund my 1911 habit, now I need funds to get knives to fund my new found Sebenza fetish that crosses with my Wilson fancy. ARGH!!

LARGE Sebenza 21 that is has a polished blade and polished scales with Gabon ebony inlays

HECK YAH !
THAT is seriously nice.
You are making me lean toward ebony for my first Sebenza user knife.

thanks for posting that one.

It's in my hand right now…I'm learning to type with my left hand. lol It really is one sexy knife. I'm in awe with the extreme attention to detail. I can't see myself ever buying a different brand of knife other than Spyderco…and that's just because I like the Military model…..oh, and a Brous Karambit. I have one, so won't be getting another….so other than the 2 Spyderco Military knives that I have on back order…it's CRK from here on in. Sebenzas to be more precise. Going nuts trying to figure out what the next one will be…probably a 25 since I have a 21, going nuts thinking about it. I sold my Microtech collection to fund my 1911 habit, and here I am dropping big coin again on knives….ugh!!

The black ebony with gold stud has a lot of style. Reminds me of something classic. Kinda mafia style, if that makes sense. I've wanted one bad for a while, but can't justify another one right now. Jealous of that blade!
