I finally put together a BOB. The bag is a Camelbak HAWG(Woodland Camo). The contents are:

-Bill Siegle 9" Hoodlum II
-Fallkniven A1
-Victorinox Trailmaster
-Survival whistle
-50' of OD 550 cord
-Signal Mirror
-12 Thompson steel snares(small game size)
-Lifeboat matches, Firesteel, Bic lighter, USGI magnesium
-Pink lady candles
-Blackhawk fleece hat, Blackhawk OD aviator gloves
-USGI Canteen w/cup
-Fork & spoon
-Fish hooks
-Tea bags, Tabasco, seasoned salt
-First Aid kit
-Pen & pencil
-Woodland Camo BDU top
-Bandanna
-Carabiner
-Lip Balm(2 tubes)
-Water Purification tablets
-ASP Microlight
-EZLAP Model M
-Spyderco Doublestuff
-Irish Spring Sport Antibacterial soap
-Saunders Folding Falcon slingshot w/steel & lead shot

So where are the Snickers??

Seriously, where is the toilet paper, or equivalent, a small bar of anti-bacteria soap, and a small knife sharpener??

I'd add those, if it were I.

I have two sharpeners in the bag...forgot to add them to the list. Thanks for reminding me about the soap.

You've got a great BoB there, but here is some stuff that I would add:

-a small notebook
-some pain killers and other medicines if you don't already have them in your first aid kit

I'd add a C or (better yet, but quite bulky) D-Cell Mag Lite and spare batteries to accompany the small LED light. Inexpensive, durable, adjustable beam, long battery life.

Maybe an emergency blanket (made of aluminum foil) is already part of the First Aid Kit. If not, you might want to add one. It doesn't require a lot of space.

What about a small sewing kit?

You can leave the spoon and fork at home if you bring a Ti "Spork".

Oh, and don't forget to include duct tape!

I'd say you have your bases covered. Emergency kits, while needing the basics, are also very personal. I too wish I had a Hoodlum strapped to my kit!
