:eek:OH Man!You done good!

GREAT 1st Sebbie!!!!!:D

:thumbup:That G2 sheath compliments it very well.

Hmmmm . . .. and I imagine your first car was a Porsche :). Congratulations on an extraordinary piece of equipment!

I'm very jealous and I just bought a new small 21 over the weekend making it my 2nd sebenza.....

Congrats on the awesome knife! This surely wont be your last. Although she is a beauty, use her hard and she will serve you well:D

Nice score, everyone should own one of Gary's old knives (and at the rate he turns them over everyone eventually will ;) )

Thanks guys. And I do intend to use this knife...but I doubt it'll be for digging potatoes.

So, the "is it special" was a reference to the 2001 stamp on the frame. Is this only to indicate manufacture in 2001 or a modification of the 2000 Classic? I can't find anything with this 2001 on it.

Thanks for your help guys.

Oh btw, since I'm closer to 50 than 40 my first car was back in 1980 and it was a used Cutlass Supreme if any of you remember those. But those were real cool back then. :D

Thats not just a regulator Sebenza, Thats called an Annual Sebenza, Chris only makes a small amount of those every year, 60 I believe. Thats a collectors piece due to the BG-42 & being an annual Sebenza. Very Sweet knife you have there......................

:D:D:D Rickster :D:D:D

I'll chime in ;)
It's reference indicates that it is one of 60 made for that particular year
unlike the classic wood inlays, these full inlays are a uniquely made version
and CRK put a limit on manufacture per each year, so, a plus for you!

As a side note, it was 'born' the day before 911...so that may also be a constant
reminder as well...
G2

edited to say Rickster and I were typing at the same time and about the same info,
which is a good thing :) thanks Rickster

and thanks to those that commented on the sheath, that was made in 2002, wow
that was a while ago, I must be getting old?

You hit the nail on the head Gary
If that was mine I would call Chris Reeve tomorrow and order the new lanyard bar with lanyard in gold to install in the original holes. The new pivot system is great, I've changed over my 5 aleady, They Come in Blue, Silver, & Gold to match your thumb stud. JMO............ Cost $5.50 each for bar & new lanyard & $1.50 shipping

Gary,

It starting to sound like you undercharged me for that knife! :)

Rickster,

You have pics of your knives with the new lanyard bar?

Thanks for the info Guys...now I know "it is special" The question now is a hard one...Is it to special to use?
