Okay so I simply whittled some pegs that have gotten lost. I know, I know - I could have used a million other things - but what fun would that have been? Also, I would not have gotten to use my new Kosters Bushcraft.

So, I took some pics - I will do a full review of this knife later.

Hope you like them:

You can see how large of wood I started with (Sassafras if I am not mistaken) and with this knife it made short work of these pegs. No hot spots - super sharp and still shaves when done. What fun!

The metal is S3V (Dear God that is hard) and I have sharpened them with DMT diamond stones (6") ending with their "very fine" stone. It could use a strop with some rogue to make it polished looking - but the edge is a razor!

those are some really nice stakes! mine always look like barbeque skewers more than that.

nice knife too...i really like that black handle...looks really hip.

Man, I knew exactly the pegs you were talking about before I looked at the pics and I pictured you making tent stakes for it and your kid getting impaled on them.

You did a great gob with the heads:thumbup:

Great job on the stakes. Nice knife, love the sheath!

Takao,

It isn't polished totally. The fine grit DMT leaves small lines in the steel. I have heard some rogue and a strop can finish it off.

However, just getting the factory lines out and it to shaving sharpness was HOURS AND HOURS of work! ;)
