hi, all of you , i am a buss fun,though , i am a vergin.:p
in my county ,china , i can not easily get knives aboard.
so , i made knives by myself. i foraged a khukri blade , and do a test on it
to show the srength of it ,the test just simple one , let the blade to bite at the iron stock ,with my full power, deadly pounch:D , but the result is not as good as i expected before, there must be a wrong on the heat treatment ,so i will work it out , to improve my skill.
the pic followed

i uploaded the pics on the knifemakerfourm.com,but you can not get the pics from the out side .i am sorry for that . then i changed the pic bed to photobucket.
i hope you will enjoy my work.

I think you meant forged, not foraged. Both are meaningful words in English, but with wildly different meanings. ;)

look at the huge damages , cause i did not shapened the blade, it is very very dull ,so i have a heat treatment problem.
and i will work it out , to improve my skill.

hi,man , you are right, i changed the pic bed.
:D

I see the images now. I'm no knife maker, but it appears to be denting, not chipping. When you strike metal to metal, you will have damage, but to me, denting is better than having pieces chip out of the blade. If you increase the heat treat, I would suggest taking very small steps until you reach the desired strength in the blade. :)

Just my very uneducated opinion. Like I said, I'm no knife maker!! :)

:Dthank you jaxx , haha i am an amuter not professional.

the steel is a kind of tradional chinese damascus , cause some rusting things
on the blade you can not see it clearly.
i think after some Pickling work, the beauty will shining here

:Dand i have a mad thinking on the steel to steel , if a big infi blade like ffbm bite on the bed frame like what i did (with full power ), what is the result? will damge like my blade ?
i have not infi to Confirmed my thoughts.what a pity.
will hogs have some expriences to share with me ?:D

There is a guy who tested an FFBM to destruction. It about wore him out, but you can see how even the mighty FFBM fared when striking concrete and metal. It didn't chip or break, but it did dent, roll, etc. Any knife will sustain some type of damage when repeatedly striking something close to the same density & hardness as itself.

Check out the video clips on this link:
