I've been thinking about how to send out my knives. Even with a sheath I need a good box. My girlfriend offered me help in return she wants me not to interfere or criticize her. From now on I give her the knives I made and she is totally free to decide how to box the knife. Then she sends me back the knife in a box. As she is a decorator and a designer I have full confidence. She sent me the pics of her work today. She made those boxes from scratch. Here they are, what do you think?

Can she make them out of wood too? A nice walnut (or matching handle material) box, with a glass window could look really cool with the same design.

Excellent presentation! You're both very talented. My stuff just ships in plain old Post Office boxes stuffed with newspapers. :o

Very nice work. I have searched and searched the web for suitable boxes, and have never really found any. If anyone knows of a source, please post it.

Thanks James, but I guess she is much more talented than me...

Is she looking to do it for others?? Like me??
:D No way man!!! I had much trouble to persuade her to work with me... Seriously I will ask her if she wants to make for others too. I'll inform you if you really want. She ordered some japanese art paper from japan. I guess she will use them to cover some boxes. I guess it will be swell...

I dont think so as she likes to make paper objects and has no proper woodworking tools but she bought some premade boxes out of wood also, she wants to alter them to her liking.

I found some firms that make custom designed boxes but unfortunatelly they take orders for 1000's of pieces minimum...

She's a keeper ! Those boxes are very fine compliments to the knives.

Cool! A nice way to package knives, it took me a while just to switch to the zippered pouches!

A new box today :D... I suppose she is loving to make these. I loved the idea of multiple layers of paper and cloth.

I asked her if she wants to make some for other makers too. She gladly accepted the idea. If you guys want a fancy box feel free to contact me by email or PM me....
