I found a... child in the woods.

Glad you were able to help. I had a similar experience with this guy who lost his two dogs. I found them outside my house looking ragged, thirsty, and tired. They were friendly enough, so I brought out some food and water for them. A lady came by and said there was a guy a few blocks away frantically looking for his dogs. A few minutes later she points him in our direction and he comes, picks up the dogs, gives my wife and I a dirty look and leaves. (also when he came to pick up the dogs they growled at him).... What an asshole. You could tell by the way the dogs looked and reacted when get got them that he didn't treat them well. People these days really grind my gears.

I had a very similar experience with a father once. I was teaching a man how to take care of his new pool when we heard a splash. I turned and saw a small blonde head under water. I jumped in, clothes, wallet, shoes and all and lifted the child out to the father who was still just standing there. She was about two years old. Father just stood there holding her out to keep from getting wet. She wasn't breathing. I climbed out, snatched the girl back and laid her over my knee, thumped her back until she puked water and began crying. Dad was furious with me. But at least his Gucci loafers weren't wet. He carried he into the house and never did thank me for saving his daughter. I can't explain it. I raised two children of my own and three step children, and never felt that way when someone helped. Dunno.
