I found a double dash 110 at the pawn shop today. PICS ADDED

Well, I am sad and happy.

Sad for you that you don't have that incredibly rare 112 ......

And happy for the rest of us that we don't have to start looking for one.

:)

Oh......BTW......now YOU gotta start looking for a Single-Dash 110 so he has BOTH 1992 110 models.

:D

I am sad that my feeble brain couldn't remember what I gave him :o

But yes, the hunt is now on for a single minus sign (as he called it) 110.

At least it will be fun telling him about the double dash 110. Too bad they don't have internet access or I would teach him how to look for one.

Well, I went to the pawn shop yesterday on the way to work, and it was still there :D

Now it is sitting here on the desk next to me... I thought about polishing up the bolsters when I got home this morning at about 2 a.m, but didn't. I want to get some pics of it "as found".

I'll try to get some pics up today or tomorrow. Gotta go to work early today

I just picked up a 2 dash 110 at the local dealer. He said he got it Saturday. He said 30.00 but I got it for 25.00. Photo Sunday if I'm home.

P.S. If you find a knife that catches your eye at a pawn shop, GET IT. I've lost a few knives due to waiting. My wife wouldn't talk to me for a week after I got my 124 at a pawn shop, but I knew it was a knife you're not gonna find often, so I endured the silent treatment for a few days.

He who hesitates is lost.

He who doesn't hesitate might be in for the silent treatment.

You pays yer money and takes yer choice.

:D

Here is a couple of photos pre-cleanup:

A little polishing and it'll look like new.

Mitch, for the right 124 its worth it and remember silence is golden . Glad you were able to procure that one 338 . That blade will be fully hollow ground and hold a good edge . Hope your enjoy it . DM

Congrats on the 110 Mitch. Does yours have the original sheath ?

I'll try to get pics up in the a.m. My indoor pictures are even worse than my outdoor pics:D
One of these days, I need to take the time to read 300bucks tutorial on taking pic

Yes, it came with the original sheath. It's kinda funny, Joe H. just told me about the knife and then I go and find one!

I know it doesn't look different than the rest, but here is my -110-...

As I mentioned before, I don't think the knife had been used before I got it, and the edge was good, but when I got home from work about midnight, I decided to touch up the edge a little. It didn't take much, and now it shaves with ease :D

A little quick polish, and she looks like new again...

you sure weren't joking about the scales! nice score!

Nice find.

The good stuff goes to those who keep looking.

:D

Looks great-way to go:thumbup:

Thanks. The scales look even better in person. My pictures don't do anything justice...
I noticed after posting them, there were a few pieces of lint that got on the blade.

Its a great knife. No blade play, smooth opening and closing, solid lock up, and the blade is perfectly centered.

The pawn shop where I got it, gets a lot of nice knives in, and they always price them reasonably. I try to get in there a couple times a week, because you never know what they will be bringing out.
The hunt to find something cool, is part of the game, and its a fun game :D

Hi Mike -

Very cool - that blade looks un-used.

I learned from this thread about the double-dash story.

I always have my eye out for Bucks - thanks for the pictures of yours and thanks to Mitch for his pictures.

best regards -

Your welcome Andy. I don't find cool stuff very often, but I keep looking, just in case

Big thanks to Plumberdv for pointing me to this thread - I'd missed this one. I asked in another post about double dash 110s because I saw one today in a dealer's display case for a reasonable but not killer price. It's very NOS, I guess (would that be NveryOS?). It's a FG 110 so I don't know whether I'll buy it or not. The quality of the ebony is so much nicer than you see today... :( I may buy it for that reason alone.
