• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

After months of hearing about them, I have finally bought and traded for 2/3 of the Zulu trio: the Umfaan and small Sebenza. They are in word, beautiful, especially the Umfaan. The small Sebenza will definitely be my regular medium sized pocket knife. It is just as smooth and solid as advertised.

Still, this is not just another Sebenza testimonial. After a few days with my knives, I have to say that these are great knives but I don't know if they are 3x better than a good Benchmade, Spyderco, Microtech etc. I don't regret getting them, but I can see me staying in the $100-$150 or less price range from now on. I respect those who like $400+ customs, but for me, a solid factory knife is sufficient. Has anybody else had a similar experience?

I'll have to say that buying my Large Sebenza curbed my craving to buy knives. I now just have the Large, an Auto, and the various Case Knives I use for carving.

I do think the Titanium Handle, Frame Lock, and overall solidity of this knife makes it worth it for me.

! While I can happily carry my Sebenza forever, I still feel the need to hold something constructed with expert craftsmanship, superior materials and designed to my specifications. The fact that I have anxiously waited 6 months for my first custom to arrive, may simply be adding fuel to the fire.

It's only a mistake if you fail to learn from it!
