I Found The Perfect Knife!

Awesome, awesome knife! One thing I've been really is edge retention/ease of sharpening of the CPM D2. It's my first knife with that steel, so I didn't know what to expect, but was really happy with the results.

Gotta love Marty Feldman.

You know, I've always thought that Marty Feldman must have gotten AWFULLY tired of wearing those fake "bug eyes" on his face while he was filming. What dedication. Anybody have any pics of what he looked like when he wasn't wearing them?

;)

One of the best lines I've ever heard!:thumbup::thumbup:for Young Frankenstein.

Love my Tyrade, great knife :)

I use it, but kinda baby it when I do. It is just so darn purty.

It is a great knife to show non knife people, because you will make them say "wow".

Unfortunately, their next question is typically, "You paid how much for that?!?"

Silly non-knife people...

This could be another topic altogether, but I have gotten to the point that I don't discuss price, except with a very few folks who understand that quality items, no matter what they are, cost money, and they can appreciate the knife I show them from that standpoint.

Too the folks who say, "you paid HOW MUCH for that?, I can get one just like it at Walmart for $20.00!" :jerkit::jerkit::jerkit:

cutter, please don't use the "jerk it" here...we're family friendly! :D

I'm with you. I try not to bring up price, and if someone wants to know what I paid for my knife, I simply say "I don't really remember". If they know knives, or they're sincerely interested, I'll tell them. The latter usually leads to a good conversation. And possibly the opportunity to create a new knife lover!

My only deflection is the size and a wasted high end steel for the spine. Otherwise, its killer.

You know, I felt the exact same way, then I realized that, with the spine portion (the non-edge portion) of the blade being 154CM, I'll still have a high end steel blade if I ever manage wear through all of the CPM D-2! Sure beats ending up with 420J2, don't it?!;):D
