I get it.... kind of, but I need help!!!

Teacher; I find that I need both wimpy limp wristed hands with their shriveled fingers to close each and every one of my Sebs. Especially since I am so aware of the dangers of lacerations to one's hands (having seen many such in my days in the ER). Could I send all my Sebs and Umfaans to you for a check over? I am embarassed to send them back to CRK. You may check out my collection on the black Seb thread.

Hey OwenM!

That works pretty good!

(did't really need the end of my index finger...really)

Disclaimer:
Just because I did not specifically mention moving the index finger off the lock after beginning to close the blade, does not mean you should leave it there while doing so.

Make sure the blade has not crimped one of the washers or the blade will be very hard to open as well as close!

Have you taken the knife apart at all? If so this is an easy fix. To close mine, my last three fingers 'grip' the bottom of the handle and my thumb presses the bar open, once this has been done, my pointy finger (the one nearest the thumb) starts to close the knife. I let the blade close about half way (this is safer and releases the pressure you thumb needed to keep the bar open) and then change my grip so my fingers are all gripping the Ti handle and my thumb closes the knife the rest of the way (pressing on spine of blade). This ensures a safe close as my fingers are now out of the blade path. Give it a try!
