I got a JOB

J Wade,

This is just what I told a student I have (non traditional and returning) when this economy gets better - people will be hiring - and they will hire those that bettered themselves first. You did just that, and now have, what sounds like, a sweet job.

Congrat's Jimi! Since our move, my wife had to resign from her previous teaching job in TX and is struggling to get a job here in GA...the job search process really sucks but I'm glad you landed one...good luck!

What part of GA and what does she teach? Has she thought about teaching at a college? I know here in NW GA there are more colleges hiring teachers than K-12. I don't know if I'll be much help but if she's interested and you get me the info, I'll keep my eyes open to see if I can help find her positions to apply for.

JWade- Congrats man, I know the pain you've been through, my wife has been out of work for 9 months now and is back in school trying to not only better herself but change career fields.

Congrats on the job. I've been there twice and it's a scary time, however it's also a great time to introspect.

Congratulations on finding work. It sounds like you put a lot of work into getting qualified, but it should all be good from here on out.

Congrats Jimi,

I hope your enthusiasm continues and you find your work satisfying.
Good luck.

Yeah, she's a middle school (English/History) teacher...her certification as is can go from 6th to 9th grade but she could get high school waived. It's funny you mention teaching at college. Her alma mater is Augusta State and she's going out there tomorrow to meet with a few of her old professors and heads of the education department. I appreciate the help,
