I just wanted to show everyone my little shop!!

It is a 6x8 ice shack that I was building. I decided I needed a shop more!!
As some of you might know I was hand filing out on my deck only a couple of months ago.

In one of the pictures you will see a few knives I am working on, they are #2,3 and 4. including the first folder, a liner lock that I am building for knifedogs charity raffle.
I am set up good enough I am now taking orders and now that I am laid off again I actually have time to work on knives!

Thanks for looking

you must be use to catching small fish.. oh well you have to make knives now.

My first shop was 4' X 8'. I was a gunsmith at the time. I only worked on pistols because I couldn't turn a rifle around in there.
Do yourself a favor. Paint that OSB with white oil based paint now, before you get crud all over the walls. You will be able to see much better, it will be easier to clean up, and the fumes from OSB are toxic. The paint will seal it. Wish I had known when I had my last shop built.

Yeah I already planned on painting it but I need to wait until it is a little warmer outside.

Congrats on your shop.I know how you feel.I've been working off the kitchen table and a vice on 2 saw horses in the front yard.I'm about to build my first shop.

Get yourself a dust removal system, even if it is just a big fan in the wall or a squirrel cage hooked to a pipe. Also wear a good respirator.

Thats a much better shop than your old porch railing. Larry Feugans shop isnt much bigger than that. Make some knifes and work your way up to a bigger one. Hey can you still go fishing and make knives if they aren biting?

That's awesome man. My first shop was just like that. ...memories...

Lets see, a drill press, belt grinder, hand tools, shop light, car calender on the wall, belts hanging, Looks like a knife shop to me!:D Now go build some knives!!:thumbup:

Nice! I just sold a piece of property and have some extra money in my pocket so I'm going to get I think a nice 10x10 Heartland building from Lowe's (my fiance gets a sweet discount on special orders). Finally give me a place to put my tools and start working on knives outside instead of on my kitchen table. Hopefully I'll be able to start my REAL first blade soon after I finish up my current blank projects.

Keep em coming Ern and thanks for the email on the tutorials!

cant have no pin up girls Ernie , not when you have 3 daughters . The shop might expand if the knife buisness expands.

Nice, I like!
(hope you have a radio and coffee maker in there as well)
They are coming soon, as soon as the water wont freeze I will have a coffee pot out there and I am getting a radio tomorrow!!

Thank you all for the kind words!!!!

I am not complaining ever again about my small shop.

Still it's a nice cozy man cave, thanks for sharing.

Hey great idea. Need to make me a similar one for next winter. Little gen set and I can set around on my butt, catching fish and making knives. Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome. I like it.
I'm debating getting rid of all the car parts in my shed and setting up in there. But I have A LOT of car parts. :)

That's cool I hope you have a heater in there it looks cold out side I don't see an intercom
I guess the significant other has to come out when she wants you to do honey do's.
