I got bit by the bug (wife didn't), now what?

How many times have you been divorced? :D

Once, everyone has to have a training wife as my Wife calls my first wife. :D

Just celebrated the 15th Anniversary with my Amy on the 11th. This is a Testament to marrying someone who likes guns and knives and sleeping in a tent. :)

My wife of 16 years thinks I'm kinda nuts for owning as many knives and guns as I do....BUT , she respects the fact that I can spend my hard-earned money on whatever the heck I want to. A couple of months ago she came home , and saw a brand new $ 37,000 Wrangler sitting in the driveway. All she did was give me a big grin.:D

It's gotta be a two-way street for it to work. I don't bitch to her about buying shoes or clothes or whatever, she don't squawk at me for buying my swag. Mutual respect ( wether she likes it or not ;))

For what it's worth, you shouldn't have to hide stuff from your wife. Be smart about your purchases. As the man of the house be responsible with your income and have enough self control to keep yourself in check. Remember your a man not a boy. A boy needs, a man can make do with what he has.

God bless

As others have suggested, Pink Izula. My wife loves hers and wants a HEST for Christmas, which means I get a Jungalas :)

Get her into it and it will be aaaaaaaallllllllllllllll good.

Cyn doesn't raise any hell about me buying stuff as long as we have the money. If she says we can't afford it, I listen. She's much better with money than I am. If I had free reign, I'd be broke with all sorts of awesome gear.

I may be in the minority here, but my wife and I discuss all fun purchases. She discusses with me her next baseball/football purchase (she is a HUGE fan of both sports) and I discuss with her my next gun or knives purchase. It's all in the conversation - which usually takes place over a nice dinner and some good wine.

On the sports note, how many of your wives get yearly letters, Christmas cards and gifts from Hall of Fame baseball players like Gaylord Perry? That's how big a fan she is. God I love her!

If I had free reign, I'd have to use the gear I bought. :D Moose

LOL! I knew that was coming as some point! Zero and counting to answer the question. :D

My better half and I respect one anothers choices more often than not. I don't give her crap about buying something with money she's earned and vice versa.

As long as our number one priority of taking care of our child is handled, and then obligations like the mortgage, utilities, food etc are taken care of as well, we don't see the logic in having to get "permission" to buy something for yourself from time to time if you've got the money to spare. Maybe I got lucky in my relationship, not gonna question it, we've got a good thing going. Works for us anyway.

For me, getting permission to buy something is just a foreign idea. I know everyone's marriage and relationship is different though.

She knows about most of the ESEE knives I've gotten recently and is totally fine with it. In fact, she's got a couple jotted down as potential Christmas gifts.

I'm getting my GF a pink izzy as an extra christmas gift. She doesn't yet understand why I like the knife so much... hopefully it will turn her on to them.

Tell her you need one in every configuration;).Iv'e been divorced twice, neither time lasted more than 2 years. My Wife(current)and I have been married almost 11 years.I tell her about every knife I will buy,she knows I'm hopeless, but can currently afford my habit.Heck, she has probably bought 20 of them for me through the years, and no,not junk either.:p:D
