I got drunk on knives last night.

It was pitiful. I don't even remember all the knives I bought. I'm pretty sure I bought three from kershawguy alone. The thing that touched it off was a grooved frankenzing someone had. Now I have a knife hangover. It's not really that bad. I think a cup of coffee will snap me right out of it.

I guess I might need to get one of those "knife wallets" now, or knife bags. Are there any you'd suggest, to keep my preciousses?

Don't feel bad. I somehow fell asleep with my southard deployed. Woke up, and I had cut straight through the brand new shirt I was wearing, and cut through my undershirt, and cut the sheet. The wife is pissed beyond belief. Now I need to go see if I can get my shirt stitched up in the back, after all, I paid 50 bucks for it. I usually sleep in an old sweatshirt, but I've had a major cold. I don't even remember deploying my southard. Perhaps it was all of those damn cold meds....

Hey VA! Welcome! Kershaw makes a nylon zippered brag bag, or depending on how many you actually have now, may want to go with something else? Congrats on the buys, what did you end up with, now that the frenzy is over?

I use a Pelican Case 1300.. Just the right size for what I need. Holds 18 knives and will pretty much last forever. Can be had for around $50 in a couple colors. My local knife buddy Chris had the same setup and I just had to have it.

I already have 2 blurs (s30v and blkst) and a Leek (s30v), and also got a Blur s30v for my brother. I bought a zt0561 about a week ago that I'm still waiting to be delivered (should be here in the next couple of days) and over the weekend got 2 Cryos (1 as a gift), 2 Zing tantos (1 a blem), plus a Speedform II (with that ELMAX blade). So I've purchased 10 knives within the last month, plus various sharpeners/tools etc.. I think it's over for awhile. I just realized I have to eat.

ill give u 50$ for that case, as it sits in those pics, all inclusive......

i have been looking for larger knife storage, cant find anything that will house anything over 18 knives that im satisfied with

Nice haul! A Pelican case looks like it would work great for you if you don't go nylon padded case. Either way, pics when it's all together yeah?

I go through a lot of bottom sheets because I "bicycle" in my sleep. They should make ballistic sheets, or something.

Kershawguy sold me one of those nylon Kershaw bags a few months back, see if he has any. Be aware, though, that the removable part in the middle had VERY thin pockets on mine. Like they'd probably only be able to hold something the size of a Leek. The other pockets were much bigger, though.

That's OK. I have a Leek and ordered 2 Zings. I think the Cryo is wider but the Speedform II is pretty narrow as well. I sent Kershawguy a message but I'm not sure he's around at the moment.

I was regretting a late night impulse purchase just today. Only cause I think I could have got it cheaper.. Not because I brought the knife... :)

I sort of wish I'd bought more Kershaw knives before Christmas with that $15 price cut they had on orders over $50. I got a $70 Leek with S30V steel for $55. That's currently my favorite knife but it'll probably change.

BTW, can you round off a tanto blade if you decide you don't want to bother with the extra sharpening hassle? I was going to try that on the Zing blem I bought, but perhaps that would unnecessarily weaken the blade? The non-tanto looks to have about the same basic grind though.

A buddy emailed Kershaw and asked about their heat treat.
Evidently all of their blades are heat treated thru and they told him there would be no problem modifying any blade except for voiding the warranty.

He moded a blur tanto.
