I got drunk on knives last night.

A buddy emailed Kershaw and asked about their heat treat.
Evidently all of their blades are heat treated thru and they told him there would be no problem modifying any blade except for voiding the warranty.

He moded a blur tanto.

Thanks. That's good to know, since that's sort of why I bought the blem. I got another tanto, but it's a limited edition which I probably won't want to modify.

Kershaw needs to make a larger display/storage bag. I have a bunch of mine in a large SpyderPac at the moment:

I also use a Pelican case, as well as a ZT and Kershaw display case.

I use the black MTECH storage pouches for my knives. They hold 12 knives of small to medium size only though.

They are $10 on the bay site.

Kershawguy sold me one of those nylon Kershaw bags a few months back, see if he has any. Be aware, though, that the removable part in the middle had VERY thin pockets on mine. Like they'd probably only be able to hold something the size of a Leek. The other pockets were much bigger, though.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just contacted him and he's going to send it with the knives. Also asked if I could change the tanto blem to the rounded style blade with the OD handle. Don't know if he has any left, but I wouldn't need to mod it.

Update: I thought the "OD" was a regular blade with an olive drab handle. Turns out it's a tanto blade with grooves, which I'm not that excited about. Anyway I now have a boatload of real purdy knives on the way...

I've gotten several knives in the last month as well.
I admit it. Lol.
Mostly Kershaws and Spyderco's lol.

Nice haul you have there though.

Anyways, I know it's not Kershaw related, but maybe get a Spyderpac? It's made by Spyderco but you can get the Small(holds 18) or Large(holds 30) and it folds up. Has slots for your knives. You can also hang it on your door.

The Spyderpac is a good suggestion. If I was unable to get the Kershaw bag for a decent price I'd have gone for the Spyderpac. I have their sharpener. Works pretty well.

Here's my current collection. I have another Zing and a Skyline on order. I can't quit. The Speedform II is just a gorgeous knife. No idea why they're discontinuing it other that it's a little tough to keep precisely centered. Plus, there's no jinking and not a lot of traction. But still, it's gorgeous.

I've only got a handful of knives. But I did pick up several fixed blades last week and a tanto blur. Now it's time to start the ZT's flowin.

I just bought a CRKT Eros. My first non-Kershaw knife, other than a Gerber multitool. I hate the fact that the pocket clip isn't reversible though. Will have to find some way around that. Perhaps I'll cannibalize the Gerber for its clip, and see if I can install it on the Eros via the rear pillar. Probably won't work, but I'll think of something.

The ZT version of the Kershaw bag holds 16 instead of 18, so the centersection has 3 slots per side, so they are much roomier.
