I Got in Trouble Today

Trax.

Are you a Druid or a Neo-Druid. I suppose that explains your overwhelming attraction to oak or hazel 110 scales.......one rule of thumb - never volunteer for Druid church committee work you may be on the Your The Next Sacrifice team....

The scholar Ronald Hutton points out "we can know virtually nothing of certainty about the ancient Druids, so that—although they certainly existed—they function more or less as legendary figures" I think that might apply to this situation........

Fellows enjoy your family this holiday, no man knows the day.

Multi-committee man himself, an adew till another thread.

Merry Winter Solstice everyone!

It's all pretty silly, of course. December 25 was chosen to replace various pagan festivals usually centered around the winter solstice more than as an actual birthday. Couldn't just take away the festivals. Had to replace the old gods with new, improved gods. Lots of the old pagan traditions survive until this day, acts of charity, xmas trees, lights, mistletoe, yule etc. appropriated by Christian tradition.

Merry Christmas Goose! I don't think they would win if someone were to challenge them on that. They're just being "PC". It's called freedom of religion not freedom from religion!

Merry Christmas... the whole world has become so politically correct, it is impossible to say anything without offending someone. I make it a point to say Merry Christmas.

I've been saying Merry Christmas for over 50 years... So Merry Christmas again... There will be lots pics of New Buck knives on here real soon... Just 4 more days...

I hear a lot of people say they are afraid to say Merry Christmas for fear of offending someone....but I have never actually met anyone that said that they were actually offended.
My 2 cents is that most folks realize it for what it is and are not actually upset to hear that phrase, its so much a part of our coulture. But the media would want us to think otherwise. They would have us believe that the majority is the minority. (sorry to go a little "conspiracy theory" here :o)

Merry Christmas!! :D

...KAA CHINGG! ! ! ...And I hope you and your family have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS as well Joe...:)

In this thread saying Merry Christmas almost seems like a guilty pleasure. “Merry Christmas”, that felt good. “Merry Christmas”, yah.

What about us Jews?
Chad

Happy Hanukkah Chad! I grew up in a very Jewish neighborhood in suburban Baltimore and we all wished each other Merry Christmas or a Happy Hanukkah as the case applied. After all, it's the sentiment that counts. The common theme here is that we all are hoping to get lots of Buck knives!

Merry Christmas to all. Seize the special moments with your family and friends.

My dream response to "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons Greetings" is a bit too rude for our gentle forum.

I did scare two people at the next table in a restaurant two years ago when I shared my idea with a couple of my friends over lunch. They didn't get up and leave (quickly, in the middle of their lunch) until I started in on how I wished I'd been alive during the Crusades because there's no killing quite like killing in the name of God. :D

Merry Christmas!

Funny how persecuted Christians get to feel when confronted with that horrible and cruel sentiment expressed in a phrase such as "Happy Holidays". What further proof is needed for the case that there is a War On Christmas?
