I went with my friend over to a huge farm he has access to this weekend on his birthday. He told me that morning that everytime he takes someone for the past 15 years or so on his B-Day that they get lucky.

I was glad I didnt break his streak:cool::thumbup:

I told him I wanted to go ahead and book him for his birthday next year too:D

He's a big mature rutting buck 5 years+. His neck is nearly 23". He's a main frame 8 pointer with a litttle bur on his left side just big enough for a ring. Its not an inch so technically it doesnt count. He' going to be close to 140 but maybe a little less.

THis was right after the moment

Man, that is one HIGH rack. You're on a roll, bro.

CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN !!!

Tried to get into the head of the canyon where I ordinarily hunt this last weekend, and it's full up with snow. And me with no horses these days.

Holy crap man! I told you you'd find another big one.

HA! HA!:D THats great. I hope to be able to use that in the future.

THe guys in camp called him the "Sherrif" cause no one had ever seen him the last few years, and he had no signs of fighting at all. Kinda like the rest of the bucks knew he was the "SHerrif".

THen it was sealed when we drove over to get him, and the radio played Eric Clapton, " I shot the Sherrif!".

Needless to say it was a great evening:thumbup::)

Congrats man! Rifle season starts tomorrow here, so I've got five 12 hour days in the woods before I have to go back to work, hopefully my luck will be same. We have a three day doe season to start so to be honest, i'm getting anything without spots.

Butts and Bucks, good thread... nice deer, thanks for sharing.
