I Got My First RAT/ESEE Today! Got Questions!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let the world know that I got my first RAT/ESEE, an ESEE-6.

Now I'm on the hunt for all the different worthwhile accessories out there. Any suggestions?
 
Good sharpener and some good oil to keep it from rusting. Would be good. I have a Tracker and am looking for a good sharpener. will let you know when I find something. Congratulations on your new purchase. Take care of it and it will take care of you...
 
hi welcome and congrats on the 6 its my favorite and the one i carry in the woods all the time.

for accesories you really need the molle back and pouch, and the ah1 arrow head and the fire steel. add a diamond sharpener and ceramic stick to keep it sharp, and a drop of oil every once in a while. although i have kept my oiled from cuting up meat.

add a esee3 and you are set for anything.

There's a MOLLE back and pouch for the ESEE6. Good to attach to a pack or hang off your belt.

Is the pouch really worth it? I've got a BDU belt that I can throw a bunch of pounches on if need be for camping and hiking trips. I've got the Molle back, it came with the ESEE-6.

Also, what's the AH1 Arrow Head used for? It might sound silly but I am curious.
 
the molle back is not the molle locks, its a cordura extension and the pouch is very worth it. lots of stuff can fit in the tin including the arrowhead which is useful for lots of things from fishing to spearing frogs and snakes.

What's the advantage in having the Molle back over the clips? I've got the thing rigged to a drop leg platform right now.
