Yes, your new Grip is a fine knife, but don't back away from D2.
One of the most famous knife-makers of all times, Bob Dozier (RIP), used D2 extensively if not exclusively. His knives are wonderful, and much sought after.

Yeah, it wasnt much. And for the vertical play, it took a bit of power to get it to move.little bit of side to side from the factory is relatively normal, loc-tite it at the good spot and enjoy it
