Whenever I come across one of the older knives I ask if the seller is the orginal owner. A couple of times I was able to get them to write me a history of where the knife had been. Very Cool!
But then again, I also own an elk handled 119 from the 50's. According to the story I got from the seller, the original owner is still in jail for using the knife to kill his wife! YIKES!!!

Just buy the knife before you get the story.

Sometimes the price can go up as the story gets better.
