As this was my first knife show in years I do not have much for a comparison but the show today was great. I finally got to handle many of the knives I have been reading about and seeing pictures of.

They were all very impressive, But to choose one was very hard till I stopped at Mike Allen's table. By 11:30 he only had a few left, and one of them was the one I fell in love with. Full file worked, scale release auto. Mike was very helpful and friendly.

Several tables were bare within the first two hours of the show.

Next year I will be better prepared and earlier.

Neil, what exactly is a scale release auto??????????? Man, I must be way behind!!

The scales slide a little bit and the blade snaps open, and the same to close.

I am not generally drawn to automatics but the scale release is an interesting concept, beside it is a very attractive knife anyway.

Next on my want list is one from Center Cross Knives. Gene Osborn makes some very attractive ones also. Ivory or Pearl would be nice. Hint, Hint.

Wow Bo, that is nice and like Senator, I really like the Wharncliff blade style.

I had the opportunity to handle a Wiskers scale release auto the other day, bolsters like yours but with Snakewood scales, and file worked all around and down the blade. A friend at work bought it and loves it!

If you, uh, ever, uh, want to part with that...let me know?

I don't go into autos that much but Wiskers knives are very well made and they open pretty darn fast to boot!

The Stag looks nice as well!

Gary,
It is Mine.
The only time you get to handle it is when you make a sheath for it. It has a very good feel. I was going to request a sheith as soon as I decide what I want, any suggestions?

Hmmm, bolster down, edge facing towards the back with the lanyard sticking up to use to draw it out, probably a pouch sheath at an angle like the Umfaan style on my page? That go nice for that knife.

Let me know if you decide to do that, I'm sure there will be about a 3 year cooling off period before you are want to part with it?

I'll be sure to keep it far from the fellow here at work, as he has one similar and would probably do me damage to get at this one!

That sounds about right. I am still in the fondling stages so as soon as that is done I will let you know and send it off.
Mike also had a small lock back that I am kicking myself for not getting. Well, next year.
