I got Rob'd! (in a good way)

Burchtree, Do you notice any drag problems using one of those powerful magnets to hold the knife to the disk seeing as it's steel?

I have one that's not been used yet and was wondering about that.

Also, I sure wish someone made a adjustable workrest(for 9"disk use) that could be mounted under the motor using those base mounting bolts to hold it in place, or be able to mount it to the front of the workbench.

If anyone knows of someone that makes anything like that, please let me know. Thanks!

Nice setup, BTW! :D

I have started a thread titled "Motor/VFD compatibility" to address your questions so that this thread can stay on one topic.

No problems -- this thread can wander wherever it it wants. :D

Phillip -- I have no idea which would be better, but I got the steel one and figured it would last longer and it would have a harder time getting dings and stuff in it.

Howiesatwork -- I purchased a heavier, shielded thermocouple but it won't be in until tomorrow. I went ahead and went with 1/4-inch ungrounded and I hope it works out for me.

Mike -- I wondered the same thing when I bought it, but truthfully; I haven't used a magnet on it yet.
