I am posting this from the Sands Expo, the site of this year's SHOT Show! The show opens later this morning at 9am and I'll be making the rounds, seeing what's new for 2000 for knives and related accessories. I'm going to attempt to post an update tomorrow morning (unless that darn Mattis and his digicam beat me to it

Hi! Glad I ran into you today! I haven't begun to see everybody and everything I need to see, but over at the Benchmade Forum you can see my pictures of their new Balisong and the 730 and the 855 and 856. Also Benchmade's pictures of the same knives. Go to www.benchmade.com and follow the "Benchmade 2000" link for their pictures.

Here's a not-so-good picture of Cold Steel's new tactical-lite knife, which IMHO is a samurai hobbit's chef's knife - thin stock, dropped edge for slicing mushrooms and vegies and such.

I am depressed... i was expecting a wound of some sort. like someone just broke into your house and shot you so you typed in the blade forums to have someone call an ambulance!!!

If Dexter ever really got shot,have no fear.The knife collection he carries in his photog.vest will do quite nicely as a level III bullet proof vest:-)

hey dexter, how many knives do you have on you at the SHOT show? i'd imagine it's more than 8, but how about a roll call on them? you pick up anything new yet?
