That looks great as is. The only thing I would do is touch up the edge. Good job on the handle.

i added some grip to it,sharpened it and sanded for an aged look and a cord wrap. my wife says it looks goofy ,it needs a shorter handle but i like it .what do yall think?

Dude, it's awesome!! If that lower grip works for you, leave it. If you need help testing it, let me know. ;)

"my wife says it looks goofy"

My wife says the same thing about all my wilderness tools. That's why I love her.

Look's Good, I like the work you did on the handle, I'll bet It'll work out great as a Camp Hawk/Cutting Wood with the longer handle,

Looks good. One extra thing I do is soak the end in linseed oil it swells the wood handle and seals it where it comes thru the eye. Seams to work good for me. Just rehandled a splittin maul last weekend...

Have you had a chance to use the hawk since you finished the mods? I want to see it chop some wood or what ever you come up with the chop. Thanks,

Heber

yeah ive hacked on an old tree and shaved a bunch of sticks. i cant get it to stick in the tree no matter how hard i swing, but for being so little and light it takes some good sized chunks out. ill try to see i can tear some stuff up and take a couple of pics.
