I Grossly Underestimated this Blade

I would think carrying a knife in a campground [any] would be no big deal....

You're doomed. BTW, you can order a leather sheath from Buck for around $12 or $14. I did that, but actually I find the nylon one preferable as it's more compact. It does go horizontal or vertical.

Living well is the best revenge I once heard, and I now own as many 110s as I think that I will ever need and a few more for good measure, whilst I am sure that the thief is still a thief and hopefully getting some man love in the county lockup!

Does anyone else find themselves searching through the racks of 110s at Wally world or Bass Pro or Gander Mountain looking for one with different wood than the ones you already have? I am a SUCKER for the 29.99 110's

Wife and I roamed into a sporting goods one time back in 03 or 04. They were closing out all of the 02 Buck 110's. That was the first year of the anvil stamp.

I showed her the rack of clampacks and explained the 2002 100 year thing and showed her the little pins that were included in the clam pack.

SHE ended up with 6 of them and picked out the "prettiest" wood on the side we could see. I think there are still 5 of them un-opened. She opened one and put it in her back pack, until she "discovered" one of the 112's.

Nicest wood, yeah,,,, but I don't take her along as much now... lol... that was a small chunk o change. But she is worth it :)

My misses isn't really into knives at all, she has no real use to carry a utility blade as she uses the box cutters that they provide at work.
However she always comments on how sturdy and no nonsense a Buck 110 feels. Her words" That knife will last forever, why do you need more?" my words "Look at this Basket that I got for you"

Bait and switch:cool:
