I guess I finally got hosed

After a couple hundred successful deals on the net, I got screwed on my first on bladeforums.

I agreed to buy a BM420 from ArtSig1 back on Oct 25 and sent the paypal payment that day. After about a week went by, I e-mailed to find out when to expect it and he said he had gotten busy and hadn't shipped it yet. I waited another week, and he said same thing again. Well, we agreed that he would just would refund my money. After another week went by, he said that he must have messed up the paypal refund and they would send a refund via a money order. This was on Nov 16th, and it was being sent Priority so it should have arrived a few days later. In the meantime, he apparently sold the knife to someone else. Well, the money order never showed, so he said he was sending another one last Wednesday. Again, nothing.

I guess I can just write this one off. I hope whoever ended up with my knife enjoys it.
 
I don't think you will have to write it off, since he's active on the forum, you can request he be banned. I imagine that will straighten things out.

Just a point here, I often send Money Orders with delivery confirmation, I would reconfirm he has your correct snail mail and ask him to send it that way.

Edit to say that it hasn't been a week yet, so I'd wait another few days.
 
I don't have any interest in getting anyone banned. I don't think the confirmation number would help a whole lot cause I have my doubts that either money order ever got sent. Hey, you win some, you lose some.
 
You have not been robbed, hosed, or anything of the sort. I pm'd you to ask for a bit more time due to some finacial commitments. I did find out that I could paypal via my bankcard. I'm sorry it has taken so long, but check your paypal account in about 5 minutes and I think you'll be pleased! :D :D :D

Now, to clear the air. This was simply MY FAULT. I've corrected it now.

Glad you pulled through for Billman. But we both know this isn't the first time this has happened, don't we. I wonder if you need to take a break from doing deals until you get your finances in order.

I am glad you got your money back, but selling the same knife twice and collecting double for it to me amounts to a scam.The whole deal smelled bad.I have no sympathy for a person who does that to another person who is dealing in good faith. Had you not come forth with this ,you probably would still be waiting for your money. Thats the way I see it. Is there any other way to see it?

Larry, the only thing I would say is that I believe Art planned to refund my $$ when he sold the knife again.
 
Billman, sorry you had to go through this, you showed alot of class through the whole ordeal.
