I guess I just don't get neck knives...

Codger you lead a dangerous life...

As they say, life is a beyotch and then she has puppies. Yes, I've pretty well lived my life by now and learned some hard lessons along the way. My grown kids still know more than me, so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them wear their own noose either. May the puppies be kinder to you than they have been to me! :D

I usually carry a Harpoon around my neck if I'm in the woods. I run a fourwheeler around my place a good bit and more than once I've had to try and find any knife I carried in my pockets. Those pocket clips are fine if you are walking, but sit on an ATV and they work out.
I have never had to worry about hanging myself. It just doesn't happen. My dog will go through more brush in a day than I will in a year. She has yet to have her collar catch on anything.

The only necker I find comprtable is a Jens Anso wallte sticker. Its tiny piece of ti (basically a little poker) measuring less that 2.5 inches in total. I ear it on a ball chain. It feel like Im not wearing anything around my neck, it probably only weighs about 2-3 ounces with the kydex sheath and ball chain.

Other option for the neck carry is a shoulder rig this one has a CS voyager on it but adapts to other knives as well. I came up with this as a solution for when I'm in my kayak. Its just to hard to get to your pockets.

Here's my little collection of neckers. It's kind of a fun and not too expensive collecting facet. No safe queens here-- tools to have fun in the woods with.
