Yeah, I know it is not a knife, but I thought you all might be interested anyway, so here it is....

I am still playing around with making my own carbon fiber, so I decided to make a pen out of it. This is the Jr. Gent's sized pen with an overall length of about 5 inches. Compared to my damascus and mokume pens, this one is a feather weight at just 1.5 ounces. Done in fountain point, but I can also do ceramic roller ball. The nib is Iridium and all the fittings are platinum with gold accents.

Let me know what you think, good or bad. I truely appreciate the feedback.

Selling Price: SOLD (Insured shipping to the CONUS included)

Laredo very nice. I would be interested in a roller ball. Do you have any yet and what is the price? What type of refills does this fountain take? Thanks.

I, like cpk, would be interested in a Roller Ball myself. How much would that go for? Thanks in advance.

Ken

Guys, FWIW, I've seen Sean's pens (the damascus ones) personally and they're really nice work. You won't go wrong with this one, either, I'm sure!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the compliments and interest. The roller ball and fountain point have the same selling price of $135.

The roller ball takes a Schmidt #888 ceramic ball refill and the fountain tip takes a the little ink cartridge that snaps onto the back of the nib.

It would probably take me a couple of weeks to get the roller balls done and ready to ship.

Thanks again and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Those are reallly nice pens. My GF just looked and agreed thy were unusual to say the least. "I don't know how long since I saw a pen like that"(fountain pen). We agree. Nice! :)

I saw this pen at the Badger Knife show and the pics do not do it justice. It is outstanding. If I would have known it was only $135 when he showed it to me i would have probably bought it.

By the way Sean, it was great to finally meet you and hopefully next time we will have more time to talk. Thanks for taking the time to stop at my table and chat.

Michael

Thanks all for the nice replies.

Michael, it was great meeting and talking with you. You know, both the mokume pen and this carbon fiber one are still available, I can make you a package deal on the pair. ;)

Just incase anybody is interested, here is the mokume pen. Made from my copper and nickel silver mokume. Quite a bit heavier than the carbon fiber one, I think this one weighs in at 4.5 ounces. I can convert this to roller ball if that is what is prefered. Roller ball and fountain tip are the same price.

Just as a side note, this pen may actually be published in the June/July issue of Pen Word International magazine. Photography has been done, now i just have to wait to see if I make the cut. So buy it now before I become famous. ;) :D

Selling Price: $300 (Insured shipping included tot he CONUS)

And while I am at it, here are some Damascus ones that I donated to a charity foundation last September. The bottom one is my EDC.

CPK and Fisherk - Are you guys still interested, I haven't heard back from you.

Thanks-

Sean

I just received my CF Roller Ball Pen from Sean, and it's GREAT!!! The photos just don't do it justice. This is my first Custom (high-end) pen, and I just hope this doesn't start me on a new kick.

Honestly, though, if you're looking for a fine writing instrument, that has some very classy looks - look no further than Sean's work. It's top notch.

Ken

Thanks Ken for the great review, I am glad you like it. I enjoy hearing the feedback of a happy customer. I hope you don't mind if I post the pics of your pen.

Here is Ken's pen:

Hey Shaun,

I know you made the CF yourself, but the one thing that I've been curious about is whether there's a seam on one side, or if you used the CF sleeveing that's available to make it?

Tony

Tony - There is no seam anywhere on the carbon fiber. I think you should buy one and take a closer look. ;)

How about one of those roses you make. My daughter would love it, shoot me an email, we can figure something out.
