I tried to title this “I had a great day on the water, guess how many fish I caught, wins you a Schrade made Parker Frost Bison in jigged brown bone, say it fast three times, GAW”. But apparently there is a character count in the title line:confused:

So here’s the rules.

1) Enter for yourself only. Entering for someone else will get you thrown back with the little fish.

2) Must be a regular contributor to the Porch or the Schrade Collectors sub-forum. Let’s say six months on blade forums with at least 50 posts in either sub-forum. Just like catch limits, I will count:rolleyes:

3) Must post a picture of a fish(no mammals). It could be one you’ve caught, seen, eaten , drawn, colored, done in macrame’, crocheted, built, painted....you get the idea. EDITED TO ADD....OR CARVED!!!

4) Finally, just guess how many fish I caught today when I was out fishing.

If only one person guesses correctly, the knife is theirs. If we have multiple correct entries, I will then do a random draw with only the correct entries. Being drawn is bad, that’s like getting caught. The last correct entry not drawn will be the winner. If nobody guesses correctly then I will do it again the next time I go fishing, which could quite possibly be tomorrow.

I’ll let this go through the day, maybe I’ll end it tonight, maybe I won’t. Just like fishing, you never know when the bite shuts down:eek::eek:

Today I was fishing on a large reservoir about 10 minutes from home. It’s my favorite place to fish for Kokanee (fish, not beer, although I do enjoy a cold Kokanee). Here’s a few photos.

And finally, the catch....

Fun GAW! I had somebody asking me for kokanee fishing advice just today! I've never fished for them, so I recommended they get the 24 pack and drink it *real* cold.

I'm guessing you caught 25 Kokanee. Here's my fish, caught yesterday. Not a bad bluegill for Idaho

Sounds like you had a really good time, Jim, no matter how many fish you caught! ;):thumbsup: Some of those pics and the smooth surface make it look like you were on a placid lake, if not Lake Placid. Very generous GAW, with rules as firm as a limp fish!:D:cool:

I'm gonna guess 153 fish. I know that's probably too high, but in the Bible, Jesus once told his disciples, who were getting skunked on fishing, to throw their nets on the other side of the boat and they struggled to land the 153 fish they caught. Not only that, but 153 is an interesting number, since the sum of the cubes of its digits equals the number itself!
1^3 + 5^3 + 3^3 = 1 + 125 +27 = 153.

The only picture of a fish I have handy is this Taylor-Schrade 19OT Land Shark. I call it a Lamb Shark, since it has a lambsfoot blade (or so I believe):

Best wishes to all of the entrants; I hope you catch a whopper! :p:thumbsup:

YOU LOST ME AT “SUM OF THE CUBES”:confused::confused: But I like the Land shark:thumbsup:

I'm going to guess you caught at least 1+ twice as many mosquitos, and 1+ three times as many gnats as you did fish.
Not a entry, since I still can't get pictures to post.

(the "1+" is in case you have a day fishing like I normally do, and cannot locate a hungry, stupid fish, (as opposed to smart fish. Only dumb fish bite a hook. Hence you will never catch a smart fish with hook and line) a fish that is awake, or one that is within 250 miles of my location.
I generally catch my limit of mosquitos and gnats though. :) (if only the drumsticks weren't so tiny ...)

Get creative and make a fish with letters and numbers in a reply.

Like that, it may be over by the time you’re done but what a challenge:D

What a great thought out and super fun GAW Jim !!! :)
The scenery where you go fishing is breathtaking
GT mentioned Lake Placid. We take our daughters every year for summer camp there  ( this year it may be cancelled though due to the outbreak ... we'll see, thing could change by July )

I guess you caught 17 fish  :)

Here is a pic of my Mom and I about 10 years ago when I used to take her fishing ( she loves fishing but had me doing the cleaning lol.)
I had to watch a few you tube videos on how to clean pike but once I got it it was good tasting fish , we caught a few more that summer.
