I had a nice conversation with Amy today...

Jaxx was gracious enough to sell me one of those Skellies at a descent price

I wasn't able to score one from the original offering,

cause some sucker bought em all up :foot:

:D

How many of those do you have left?

You clearly bought those to sell, just wondering how that went.

I clearly bought these to sell?

When I first started spending time here, I spent some time lurking and reading old threads and saw a good amount of posts talking about how hard it was to get knives from the Store. When these went on sale, I was ready... Planned to give a few as X-mas gifts, learn a bit on hand modding a few, hoped to trade a few towards GW's I missed, keep a few, use a few and eventually sell some.

Turns out that after realizing that there were fewer overall than I had thought, I passed a bunch on at or very near original price to those who PM'd me after they were sold, listed a few at slightly higher, but nothing large. I gave away 3 of them as prizes on BladeForums in contests... So did I make out? Yes, as it was fun to hold a few contests here. But, in the money sense, I believe that I can honestly say that I haven't made any cash on these... Which I'm guessing that's what you're asking, right?

I believe I have 10 left, and I think that includes my SkGW user. I still really like the Skelly GW.

You've been to this room enough to know Jaxx is certainly no flipper.

What was the point of your post:confused: Unless your wanting to buy one from him, and that could have been done through PM.

BTW- Jaxx has had to explain this so many times I'm supprised you've never seen one of those post.

I've wanted a Skelly Warden for awhile, but never really get around to it. I'm envious of Jaxx being able to afford 27 of them like I'm envious of Bill Gates being richer, Stephen Hawking being smarter, Tony G having better taste and Skunk having more Barretts. But who's fault is that?
Jaxx, I think you should flip the remainder now.;) But I'm pretty sure you won't. You are a true example of HOGgery around here. Thanks for not being a whiny, grouchy, stir the pot kind of swine.

Now, what was this thread really about?:o:D

My bad, I just assumed that anyone who bought 27 of the same knife that was increasing in value at the time might be planning to sell them.

I didn't mean anything negative by what I said, I think you should sell any Busse for the highest price you can get for it. Or anything else for that matter. I've said so many times, in nearly every thread about "flipping".

I don't know why the notion that someone might sell a Busse for more than they paid for it is an insult.

Hear - hear. The market should decide at the time you are looking to sell. If you take the risk of getting more than you might "need" - then when you sell depending where the market is you will get more or less than what your cost was. Its a meeting of the minds - if one side does not like the price the deal does not happen......

Its like hearing a dealer at a gun show looking over a gun a person is looking to sell - asking "how much money do you have in it?" - Irrelevant question - the issue is - "How much will you give me for it" :)
